Pros: It has huge space to store. Fast storage process if you have a USB 3.0 port in your pc or laptop. I am very happy with the fast backup time made in my computer.

Overall Review: Highly recommended if you need to store a huge amount of data.

Pros: Hardware is compact and just works out of the box.
Cons: Software is limited to backing up files. Cannot create a disk image. In the case of a disk failure this is not a good solution.
Overall Review: Ok if paired with a real recovery software package.
Pros: My needs are a little different than most; I use the drive primarily for weekly backups around 200-250GB/week, in very, very large VM .7z archives for the most part. The Toshiba can handle a 100MB/s average write rate when you are copying under Windows 10 with a proper FUNCTIONING USB 3.1 port. (It turns out my previous poor review was due to static-nuked front ports.)
Cons: None that I can detect; my previously reported issues of it “taking itself offline” were due to a failed set of front USB ports zapped one too many times by static over the winter. It works fine in the rear USB 3.1 port, and is one seriously speedy drive.
Overall Review: I hope this drive has the longevity to go with its speed. Both my last Seagate and my last WD failed before their warranties were even up; I didn’t want replacements of unreliable hardware and tossed them.
Pros: Lots of storage for the money

Overall Review: Would very much recommend this portable drive for the pricing and ease of use.
Pros: Great physical size. Great storage capacity. Good bang for the buck.
Cons: No problem, no concerns.
Overall Review: I would indeed recommend this unit to anyone wishing extra storage capacity or as a backup for an internal HDD or SSD.

Pros: Sequential reads are very fast, averaging 104.38 MB/s over the entire 4 TB drive.
Cons: Write speeds are very inconsistent. While writing the drive will frequently hang or slow to a crawl for several seconds. I cancelled my first two write tests because I thought the drive was defective and I would have to return it. The average write speed was 15.79 MB/s over the entire 4 TB drive.
Overall Review: I have around ten portable 2.5″ drives that I use for on- and off-site backups. Most are Western Digital 1 to 4 TB, with a couple of Toshiba 1 to 2 TB. None of them behave like this. Maybe all the new 2.5″ drives are this slow due to SMR? I found myself needing temporary storage and bought this 4 TB on sale without doing any research, and that’s my fault, but I’m going to try another WD next time.
