Eggxpert ReviewPros: Quality built. 8 Mb cash
Cons: Price is way too high. You can get a Tb 3.5 drive for the same price.
Pros: Very quiet drive, worked flawlessly for 14 months.
Cons: Died after 14 months (stopped working and just clicked when accessed, either in the laptop or on a USB adapter).
Overall Review: WD warranty service was excellent, they replaced the drive for free with a recertified Scorpio (same model). All it cost me was shipping to them.

Pros: Much quieter and cooler than the stock Toshiba drive that came in my Dell Inspiron 6000.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Ordered on Tuesday, installed on Thursday. Works great.
Pros: This was my first attempt at replacing a hard drive, and it was a snap. Dropped this in a Compaq Presario R3000 and have had no problems. Quiet, cool and much faster than my old Toshiba 60 GB.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Great price, free shipping, and it arrived at my door in less than 48 hours. Very happy with both Western Digital and NewEgg.
Pros: Quite, fast (for what it is) runs cool, and installed and loaded without any problems. (See “Other Thoughts” for install info) Another WD product with 5 eggs. And don’t forget the excellent speedy delivery thanks to Newegg fine staff.
Cons: Not a con, but I don’t understand all the bad reports as in DOA’s that others have posted, I’ve ordered a total of five HDD’s, all WD’s and have yet to recieve anything but typically fine WD HDD’s that just keep on running, two are over 8 years old and still working.
Overall Review: Used this product in a 2005 HP Pavilion ze4500 (ze4560us) upgrade, to replace the original HDD that completely smoked. Be sure to retain the HDD case and HDD connection adapter (which pulls off the original pins after removing the case) to reinstall on this one. Also replaced/upgraded Ram with two sticks of 512GB also from Newegg and gave this older laptop a new lease on life. Runs much faster with higher rpm HDD (old was 4200 rpm) and with the new Ram I’m sure it’ll run for another long while and with much more pleasurable results!!!

Overall Review: Had to return SATA HDD on 1st order (my bad), easy return.
Compatible HDD is PATA/EIDE.
Original HDD was 40GB, 80GB replacement was a safe bet, worked fine, single partion, couldn’t get straight answer on what BIOS Max HDD size was.
Had to remove “tray” and insulating sheet from old drive to new drive, watch out for hidden adhesive.
