Pros: Runs fine so far, my Dell Inspiron recognized it without a problem, much faster then my other hard drive that crashed and a good deal for the money.
Cons: None as of right now. Doesn’t come with instructions. If you’re a novice that might be a problem.
Overall Review: Its good. Only 10 dollars more than then 80 GB drive. My first item from Newegg. Shipping was fast and was a good first experience for me.
Pros: These are very reliable hard drives. I use this with my usb enclosure, and it works great. For those who wants to know about warranty, THESE ARE COVERED under Western Digital’s warranty.
Cons: The warranty is not very long. A little bit less than 3 years. It’s less than 3 years because it starts from the time the HDDs were in Newegg’s inventory.
Pros: the original HD on my laptop was at it’s last heartbeats so I decided to purchase a new one. So far, everything that I wanted and much more. Runs quicker than the one I had before (4200 vs 5400) and larger capacity. As read before, also runs cooler than your typical 5400 rpm drive.
Cons: NONE
Overall Review: Great drive, not expensive, newegg service, GO for it!
Pros: LOW price for a 120gb 5400 R.P.M notebook drive. A 3 year factory warranty.
Cons: None yet. Mine have a 22 OCT 2007 build date, built just 2 weeks before Newegg sent them to me!
Overall Review: Some reviewers say that these do not have a factory warranty. This is NOT true. Go to the WD WARRANTY CHECK FOR END USER page ( do a web search ) and check your serial number, you will see that the warranty is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
Pros: It’s a Western Digital, good size for the old hpze4600 I put this one in.
Cons: Have not found any.
Overall Review: I know this is not a very helpful review, but I would recommend this drive if you need a replacement for a laptop.
Pros: Good litle drive with no issues. I used EzGigII to transfer my info. Worked like a champ.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I used to upgrade a Dell SX260.
Pros: Have been a system builder for over twenty years, since Digital Research DOS and early MS DOS. Only the second Western Digital hard drive received DOA using only WD drives for very many systems.
Cons: DOA. First problem with any order from New Egg. All other items have been software or only electronic in nature. First mechanical device ordered and it was DOA with indentations on about a quarter of the label corresponding to about one quarter of the indentations on the housing of the drive. Rough, careless handling? From my experience and reading about all of the bent pins, as received, for OEM processors QC needs to encourage handling, packaging, and shipping to troubleshoot, implement, train, follow, and review/test more robust procedures.
Overall Review: Have not crossed New Egg off of my supplier list. When more active, more volume, did business with *ech *ata and other distrib. I appreciate New Eggs reasonable pricing and turn around time. Decent continuous improvement just keeps you even. It takes outstanding continuous improvement to improve.
