Pros: Very high data rate, just like the Black Edition desktop hard drive i have this thing is outstanding. can get copy speeds up to over 50MegaBytes Per Second and bursts over 100. this thing comes darn close to a ssd and you can’t beat the price.
Cons: none. just like other rater commented there’s a DOA every once in a while. blame the shipping company for chucking your box.
Overall Review: my wife’s hard drive just died and i sacrificed my laptops hard drive (this model, it was a replacement for my laptop) to replace hers. i told her i bought another one. I’ll buy another one soon to replace it though. >_>

Pros: It’s a 7200RPM HDD.
Cons: Making all kinds of strange noises. Loaded Windows Vista on it continued to make two different but very distinct sounds. One was like a “boing” and the other was a high pitched beep. These ocurred frequently. After a couple reboots it will no longer boot up. I then re installed Vista and its doing the same thing again.
Overall Review: There is always a bad apple in every barrell. WD has a solid reputation and I’ll just chalk it up to being unlucky and send it back. Newwegg will take care of me and make it right. Just wish I didn’t have to wait another week or too. This is my Nieces laptop and she ain’t happy!!
