Pros: used this for a lot of different projects and its still going strong
Cons: none
Pros: easy to install. All I had to do was place it in the laptop, turn it on with my windows install disk in the drive and the HDD did what it needed to. I did not have to set up any partitioning or do any reconfiguring. I can see a difference in the speed to with the data transfer rate compared to the slower one that was in there to begin with.
Cons: none that I can tell yet.
Pros: Works well — didn’t arrive DoA. 7,200 RPM and a larger cache. Excellent price when it was purchased.
Cons: Short warranty period, but hey, it’s recertified.
Overall Review: Using 2 of them in a 1U Asus server RS100E7 in a mirrored RAID array with a Intel SASUC8I. No failures so far…
CrystalDiskMark sequential reads are at 112.2 mb/sec, writes at 105.2. Not bad for a 2.5″ drive!
Pros: 7200 RPM, very slim 2.5 inch form factor, looks brand new.
Cons: wish it was 1 TB, but that’s just nit picking.
Overall Review: Awesome shell shocker price of $79.99 !!!
Pros: shipped fast, appears to be a newish item, price was right
Cons: Cannot get it to be recognized on my circa. 2007 HP DV9420US as a data drive. This laptop has two drive bays and originally 2-120GB Hitachi 5400 RPM. I updated OS with a SSD no problem. But the 7200 RPM 750 Scorpio Black just doesn’t show in Windows 7/64 in the second bay but it shows up fine on my desktop. And when the laptop boots with the 750 installed, it stalls a lot and hangs before going to desktop.
Overall Review: Gave it five stars since there is nothing wrong with the drive, just my choice of drives.
Pros: The best HDD
Cons: No
Overall Review: Works very fast, if u have no mind to go SSD, thats best choice
Pros: Average transfer rates of ~100MB/s.
16MB of cache on a 2.5″ drive is pretty nice, especially with the 7200RPM speed.
S.M.A.R.T. isn’t showing any errors, even after a full HDD test.
Arrived fairly secure and in an anti-static bag.
Cons: Getting the drive out of the box was a slight pain, because it was pretty snug in the anti-static bag. Had to end up cutting the bag to get to the drive.
Overall Review: Overall, its a good drive. Nothing to complain about, besides the obnoxious shipping. I personally bought the 1 year warranty since it IS a refurb, but thats up to you.

Pros: The HD arrived in excellent condition and the drive image i made from my old hd had 0 hiccups extracting to the new drive. The refurb comes straight from WD in a factory sealed ESD bag with a 90 day warranty. The way i see it is a new drive has higher chances of failure as only a small portion are actually tested by QA whereas a refurb will always be tested before resale by whoever redoes the drive.
Cons: absolutely nothing. Got an $80 drive for $55 who can complain.
Overall Review: This 7200rpm hd is the absolute best upgrade for a laptop short of an ssd. In fact i just purchased this laptop brand new about a week before i ordered this drive and i realized how terrible 5400rpm drives are so i dropped that into an external enclosure and installed this.
