Pros: Works great on my PS3.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: This has nothing to do with the drive, but the PS3. I would like to make it known that the PS3’s Restore Utility doesn’t work well. If you have certain games in your Game Data Utility, the backup only restores save data, profiles, and media, essentially invalidating all backups made like that.
What needs to be done is before making the backup, delete Game Data for Uncharted 1, 2, 3, and betas, Read Dead Redemption, GTA IV, V Warhawk, & Eyecreate Game and Game Data.
Also the PS3 still has issues with the PSN Store crashing, it happened with the original HDD as well.
Pros: When the drive arrived “no media” was the error displayed. With too many years of experience telling me there was hope. There was communication between items before the error would display. I saw the communication watching the access light when I would insert it in my 2.5/3.5″ sled type docking station. I was able to see it in Win. and immediately formatted it through Computer, Manage, and format the drive using the console.
So I’m using it in an portable enclosure, just as planned.
Cons: don’t give up easily
Pros: Small, light, compatible with external HDD, and Xbox One for extra space
Cons: None
Overall Review: Works Great. This is the second refurbished HDD I bought with no issues out of the box. I use one in the desktop, and the other is being used as extra space on my Xbox One in an external HDD case.
Pros: price for a laptop hdd is great – refurb or not wd makes a great product
Cons: not a ssd – lol
Pros: Looks pretty.
Cons: This hard drive totally crashed in the middle of installing Ubuntu Studio. The message from the installation program was, “…installation failed…perhaps your hard drive is old and overheated during installation…”. On checking the drive externally with the same computer but with a different hard drive (Crucial SSD) running Mint 19, this refurbished HD is non-visible and dead except for a whirring sound if one listens closely. I do not recommend buying this drive as refurbished.
We regret that the initial installation of your WD Blue drive did not function as expected.
As a troubleshooting step, please test the drive on Windows using our Data Lifeguard Diagnostics program. If it passes the test we recommend testing another drive bay or SATA port on your system.

If the test is unfortunately inconclusive and you just purchased the drive then you should be able to return it to the place of purchase. However, if you are past their return policy, you can create an RMA through WD and replace the drive under warranty if necessary.

Pros: -More memory
-Compatible with the ps4
-Speeds were the same (as expected)
-Price
Cons: -Runs a little hotter than the stock hdd
Overall Review: Bought this hdd for my ps4 since I’ve only had good experiences when using WD HDD’s in my pc. Installed it the day it came in. Installation was a breeze and everything worked well…. except for the fact that it runs really hot causing the system fans to run really loudly due to the increased heat. Luckily it’s only in short spurts, so the fans are not constantly like this, however it can still be a bit annoying
Pros: This is the perfect drive for a mini ITX build, fit perfectly with tonnes of room for air flow.
Cons: None so far.

Pros: Great initial price for a refurbished drive
No problems with any of the drives
Cons: I guess I didn’t buy enough
Overall Review: These drives work great. They are like new. I ordered a a few of them. I was going to order more but now the price is up $10 more dollars. C’mon Newegg! $50 for a refurbished 1TB is ridiculous. Keep them at $39 and I’ll buy more.
