Pros: I received this drive as a replacement for my previous one that arrived in non working condition. I put this in my 2012 MacBook Pro for data storage. I do a lot of audio editing. The drive has only been in my MBP for two days, but it is working flawlessly. It is fast enough to handle 40 tracks of audio without any problems. It is an amazing value for the price in my opinion.
Cons: None at this time.
Overall Review: Great drive!! Make sure you get the extended 3 year warranty. I had to use it with my previous 1TB WD Black. I had absolutely no problems returning the previous drive and getting this one.

Cons: The warranty date was for only 3 years after I registered it and verified it.. I was shocked!
Overall Review: I have always used WD HDD due to the 5 year warranty and their wonderful longevity. I have drives humming that are more than 8 years old. I bought this drive to put in an external case so I could back up some folders easily on my laptop while gone from home and no online access. Somewhere, maybe here on Newegg, I read to be sure and register the drive right away and then verify the warranty date. The warranty date was for only 3 years. I was shocked! I sat for more than an hour on the chat line and then got kicked off the wait line for no apparent reason…it was not past their help hours. Was really ticked. Decided to try again 5 days later, and this time got a chat going after an hour. After a lot of back and forth with model number, purchase date and then SN and the chat guy checking on the warranty, he said it was 3 years. When I said not so, he said maybe these particular drives have a lesser warranty. I sent him the online link for the exact drive with the 5 year listed. Then he said they probably just haven’t updated their system for the warranty. Again, I said bunk, I have other older drives registered that show the 5 years. Now my problem is being escalated to see if they can update my warranty length. It will take 1-2 business days. Meanwhile, I am desperate to get this drive spinning so I can take it with me. He said I can use it and send it back to New Egg if the 5 yr warranty doesn’t stick–as long as I’m with in New Egg’s return window.How do you like that, New Egg?

Overall Review: No issues with the hard drive it fit just fine and is working great. the only issue i have is that i ordered the hard drive on 2/3/2022 at 12:29PM and it just sat at Newegg until 2/7/2022, I don’t see any reason for the drive just to sit there like that; it should have shipped no later than the 4th.
Pros: The price was right.
Cons: No cons.
Overall Review: My new Dell desktop had a slot, ready to go for this size of drive.
I’ve never had a WD Black drive fail on me.

Pros: The drive appears to work, and works well.
Cons: This hard drive was sold as a new hard drive including a manufacturer’s valid warranty. The drive appears thus far to be fully functional. However in checking the drive’s serial number with Western Digital it was discovered the drive was originally installed in a Lenovo computer and it includes no Western Digital manufacturer’s warranty. So be careful what you buy, there is dishonesty afoot in the NewEgg retail sales market.
Overall Review: Be very careful in buying merchandise through NewEgg’s retail merchants.
