Pros: None
Cons: Died after 5 months.
Pros: none
Cons: Died in just under a year, would suggest you look elsewhere for a laptop HDD.
Pros: Decent performance
Cons: Premature failure. Worked for 2 months, then failed completely.
Overall Review: Received this from Dell under warranty when then original drive in a Precision laptop stared to fail. Dell sent this drive out as a replacement, it didn’t last. We got another under warranty, same model. It hasn’t died yet, but we are counting the days and backing up religiously. The failure of this drive caused data loss, because Carbonite wasn’t doing it’s job.
Pros: This hard drive worked seamlessly for about 9.5 months.
Cons: Randomly crashed in the middle of a computer backup without any prior hiccups. The BIOS on my native laptop, nor any other computer I connected it to could not even find the hard drive.
Overall Review: This came pre-installed on my Sony VAIO F-Series laptop. I have had Toshiba hard drives pre-installed on other laptops before, and had similar issues with them crashing in less than a year. Thankfully, my computer was still under the manufacturer’s warranty, and they replaced it with the same one, but I won’t be trusting this one too much. I’ll be buying a Western Digital, which I’ve never had issues with.
Pros: It used to work
Cons: It no longer does
Overall Review: Look elsewhere. Warranty on these drives stinks…
To other reviewer.. Why do you rate a hard drrive 5 eggs that youve only had for a few weeks… makes no sense. They are all great in the beginning… Thanks for listening
Pros: Nice quiet drive. Came in my Toshiba laptop that I bought recently. I cannot comment on durability as I’ve only had it a few weeks.
Cons: Only wish Toshiba made a larger capacity 7200 rpm drive.
