Pros: Works good so far.
Cons: Nothing so far.
Overall Review: I bought this drive as a upgrade for my PS3’s 80 gig default (retail) drive and installed myself at home. A ton more space then the standard 80 gigerz that my ps3 came with. i’m happy so far.
Pros: Good price for the size. Hasn’t died yet.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Replacement for laptop drive that died. So far, so good.
Pros: I have had one of these for well over a year going strong.
Cons: None
Overall Review: The negatives here come from people who had the drive come in the laptop. This will not normally be the same drive as you get from here. Try calling toshiba and get it warranty replaced as a bare drive and they will say call the system manufacturer. Why you ask……its normally a refurbished or warranty returned drive.
I have worked on many computers over the years and the oems such as dell, hp and the like tend to cheapen the components as much as possible, and unfortunately they go cheap on the mass storage on the entry level systems more often than not.
Pros: It’s a hard drive.
Cons: Came in a Dell laptop. Died after 7 months. Replaced under warranty. Second one died after 6 months. Replaced under warranty. Here we are 5 months later and, gee whiz, what a surprise! The third one is showing the same signs as the others did before they died. Will the next one last only 4 months? This time I’m spending my own money for the peace of mind and buying a WD. And the next laptop will be a Toshiba.
Pros: Came with HP laptop.
Cons: LOUD then died after about 6 months(broken head)
Overall Review: Really cant understand how this kind of poor quality equipment is even on the market.
Pros: Came built into HP G60t notebook bought at HP.com
Cons: Died in 6 months due to head crash.
Overall Review: I’m giving HP one last chance with a replacement HDD as I’m under an ESP. Afterwards, I’m switching to another brand such as Fujitsu.
Pros: Free as part of ESPP Replacement for HP G60t.
Cons: Failed miserably after 3 months in the same manner as before (Headcrash).
Overall Review: The two apologists not withstanding, this drive is horrendous. With my plan expiring in a month, I’m switching over to Fujitsu or WD.

Pros: This hard drive has lasted me over two years with continuous use as a college student in my laptop.
Decent capacity.
Cons: Like all 5000 RPM drives it is a little slow.
Overall Review: Very reliable, but slow. Have never had any data loss or corruption despite installing and uninstalling many software packages in two years of college.
Pros: Works good so far.
Cons: Nothing so far.
