Pros: Very good performance from these drives (see other thoughts) and nary a sign of error in the first year of use in my Samsung Series 7 Gamer. I’ve been quite impressed with the drive, and must say I’m surprised at all the problems folks have been having with them.
Cons: None that I can think of.

OS : Windows 7 Ultimate Edition SP1 [6.1 Build 7601] (x64)
Pros: I used this in a Toshiba Satellite notebook, which had a 160 GB drive in it that failed. Before that drive became unreadable, I was able to copy that partition over to this one and then expand the size. No Problem at all, still no problem. I maintain this computer as one of my monthly clients, it has been working swell all this time.
Cons: Nothing really bad, I ahvent seen the same failures others have had.
Overall Review: I’ve read all the other reviews, but simply put, none of that ever happened to me. I found this drive very durable, and it speeds up a Windows 7 system noticably. I would certainly consider getting more of this exact model, I don;t knwo why they went bad for the others, but as I have said in other reviews, drives are made in batches, and sometimes a whole batch has some error that causes the same problems troughout the batch. Seagate is pretty good with returns and sometimes even give you larger drives as a replacement, like WD does sometimes. But for this drive, it is still working well, under warranty for another year and a half at least should that happen.
Pros: Extremely quiet and decent speed.
Cons: Fatal errors (system freezes) after about 15 months of use, under certain conditions (opening specific programs were guaranteed to lock up the drive). Drive is unusable after 22 months and an attempted factory reset.
Overall Review: This drive came as part of the ASUS G51JX-X1 purchased in December 2010. Worked great until this March. Was able to isolate the culprit programs, but that limited what I bought the laptop for in the first place. HDD Regenerator 2011 labeled the drive as “Imminent Fail,” and continually found surface errors no matter how many times it attempted to regenerate them. Tried to run a factory reset with packaged AI Recovery software, but consistently get “WimSetReferanceFile 2 Failure” once the windows recovery process starts. Troubleshooting, plus previously mentioned indicators, point to critical drive failure. Replacing with Seagate Momentus XT ST95005620AS 500GB Drive.
Pros: Great little drive use as a secondary back up dirve
Cons: Love it, quick and fast
Overall Review: none so far
Pros: 7200 RPM
500GB of space
Extremely quiet
Quite a bit snappier then the old 5400RPM drive I used to have in this old laptop
Cons: Only complaint is it gets a little warm with use, but nothing too bad.
Overall Review: Mine came in a very beat-up package, so I feared for the worst (DOA). Got the drive out and did a full SMART scan on the drive, and it came out 100% great!
Don’t see why there are so may negative reviews, so far the drive is running great, and I have had 0 issues with it. If something comes up in the future, I will post another review.
Pros: Worked for 5 days, Low noise
Cons: Fatal system errors, Bad sectors within 7 days.
Pros: Nice upgrade for an HP notebook. I took the 5400 rpm hard drive out and put this in. I noticed an increase in speed.
Cons: Nothing so far
