Pros: Great price, and works perfectly once in PS3!!!
Cons: No cons here.
Overall Review: I probably have too much space than I may use now.
Pros: This was an upgrade purchased for an older HP Pavilion DV6000. The old hard drive was only 120gigs, and ran a lot slower. I always get Seagate hard drives and have never had a problem (knock on wood) with them. It was very easy to install and, like I said, hasn’t given me any problems whatsoever.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I think the people who put down shipping or anything like that as a con are lame. I mean, it’s a product review, not a shipping review or a Newegg review. Then again, I have never had any real issues with Newegg.
Pros: Lots of space, easy to install
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: I bought this to upgrade my PS3 from 120 GB to 320 GB. Now I have all kinds of space to work with.
Pros: This is my third Seagate drive. I installed it in my Dell Latitude E5500 with Windows 7 ultimate. 20 minutes or less to install. and configure. This drive replaced a smaller Seagate 80Gb drive.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Dell Latitude E5500, Windows 7 Ultimate RC. 4GB memory. Needed the storage for audio files.(lots and lots of files.)
Pros: Just received this drive, and have been running HDTach tests on it in a Simpletech eSATA enclosure. HDTach numbers:
Burst: 116.5 MB/s
Average: 60.0 MB/s
Utilization: 2%
I know that I’ve only had this for about a day now, but I’ve beating the &))_ out of it with HDTach :), and it seems almost as fast as some of the 7200RPM 3.5″ drives I have.
Cons: None so far.
Pros: As a standard issue hard drive, there’s not really much more that you can ask other than it doing its job as it’s supposed to. I can confirm that this hard drive does indeed do what it is intended to do. I bought this as a replacement drive for a laptop, and the transition was seamless.
Cons: I have no issues to report
Overall Review: Great replacement drive for laptops.
Pros: Works perfectly with my PS3. It’s as simple as unscrewing the old hard drive, replacing it with a new one, and turning on your PS3. You will need a USB drive with a folder called “PS3” though. Inside of that folder you will need another folder named “UPDATE” and inside of that folder will be the most current PS3 update which can be downloaded from www.playstation.com. So you install the HDD, plug in the USB drive with the appropriate folders and file inside, plug a controller in and turn your PS3 on. There are some simple confirmations you must accept and then the whole process takes about an hour (without backing up save files and reinstalling those save files.) The PS3 will reformat the HDD for you.
Like I said though, the Seagate Momentus 5400.6 ST9320325AS 320GB works perfectly for a PS3 HDD upgrade.
Cons: Games that are downloaded onto the HDD skip ~once every hour or so (not bad at all though) and if you aren’t used to playing perfect games on an expensive gaming rig it may not even be noticeable.
Overall Review: I got this thing for $35 during the BF/CM sale. Killer price for what I got. I don’t know about paying >$50 for it but hey, do whatever makes you happy.
