Description
The Seagate Momentus 5400.2 series hard drives enable the freedom of mobility and enhanced productivity with 5400-RPM performance. The ST9120821AS is a 120GB drive that has an 8MB cache and SATA150 interface to enable high-speed access to your data.
Seagate has used a SoftSonic fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) motor and QuietStep ramp load technology to engineer a drive with minimal vibration and noise. The FDB also increases the shock tolerance of the drive.
Low seek power (2.2W) and stand-by power (0.28W) enhance battery life and also make it perfect for use in external storage enclosures.

Pros: Installed in a Sony BX notebook.
I was impressed at the speed and how quiet it was.
Cons: After being on a while. It got very hot. Could not rest laptop on my lap. I could feel the heat on the touch pad. Returning It.
Overall Review: If heat is not a problem then is a good drive.
Pros: Inexpensive replacement for my existing 60GB MacBook drive.
Cons: The drives are dead. First one lasted 5 months, second one lasted 3 weeks.
Overall Review: BACK UP! BACK UP! BACK UP!
Seagate is RMAing both drives, so hopefully the replacements will be have a longer life than the originals.
Pros: fast; very quiet; good price; instalilng it on a macbook was so easy that my grandmother could have done it.

Cons: only shows up at 111gb on my MacBook 1.83ghz. doesnt really matter though.
Overall Review: good buy. GREAT upgrade. double my storage.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING buying a 2.5inch SATA drive (especially the vantec one) and using SuperDuper! (free)… it is software that clones your existing drive, so i just cloned it, installed it, and powered up and it was like nothing changed…except for the doubled storage.

Pros: Installation in my 2.0 GHz MacBook was easy, just screw on the frame and slide it in. Runs quietly and quickly, a big improvement over the 60 GB it came with.
Cons: Only showed up as 111 GB when I went to install OS X, and had 94 GB free when I booted into the OS for the first time.
Overall Review: It’s worth it if you want a big, fast hard drive for your new laptop at a reasonable price. Plus, New Egg’s shipping was execellent as always!
Pros: I have been using this hard drive for 10 months in my Macbook. No problems to report.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
Pros: Excellent drive. Had no problem with it. Formatted it twice on my Macbook. Fast and works great. Worth it.

Overall Review: I bought an IDE drive for my Macbook and then realized that it required a SATA drive. Newegg guys were nice to take it back with no questions! Excellent service….with shop again!
Pros: Worked great for 6 weeks,..
Cons: then S.M.A.R.T. reported that the drive was failing. Errors and noise. Sent to Seagate, waiting on replacement
Overall Review: Remember to keep your backups up to date!

Pros: 120GB size and overall perforance. the swap out was easy and the drive performs as expected. + I doubled my drive size and have now over 80gb of space left
Cons: price, but I bought a macbook and Crucial memory so I shouldn’t complain.
