Pros: Came in good condition. Shipping only took two days, from NJ, US all the way to Ontario, Canada. Fast, single-platter drive. Quiet.
Cons: None…yet.
Overall Review: This drive uses one 320GB platter. HD Tune reports these ratings:
Minimum = 46.2MB/s
Maximum = 93.6MB/s
Average = 74.0MB/s
Average Seek = 16.7ms
Burst Rate = 16.7ms
Overall a very quick drive, highly recommended.
Pros: Installed Hardware. Installed Windows 7. Works Great and No problems so far. For the price, its a good disk
Cons: Not the fastest, but that’s not what I needed…….
Pros: Quiet as noted by others. Faster and much cooler than my old 7200RPM Hitachi.
Cons: N/A
Overall Review: HD tune shows these numbers, thanks to my old Intel C2D laptop which I believe has a clumsy SATA150 controller. Just for reference, in case others are dropping this sweet drive into an aging laptop.
Transfer Minimum – 30.4 MB/s
Max – 87.3
Average – 66.6
Access Time – 16.6 ms
Burst – 75.2 MB/s
Pros: Dropped right in. No problems. runs quick and quite compared to my last drive.
Cons: No cons atm to report.
Pros: Easy to find the right internal notebook hard drive on Newegg web site. Simple installation since the drive was an exact replacement. Quick shipment from Action Packaged, Inc (thanks Monica for the follow-up). Accurate billing and charge to credit card. Couldn’t have been easier for my first time hard drive installation.
Cons: None
Pros: Cheap price
Cons: I purchased this drive in Dec 2012. It failed the first week of Oct 2013. Never had a drive failure in 10 months. What a pain
Pros: It works and matches specs as shown. Was well packaged.
ATTO Disk Benchmark shows R/W in the high 80’s.
Cons: Received a Seagate Momentus ST320LM000 drive which is not found on Seagates website. I hope I never need warranty service.
The item pictured does NOT match the actual drive.
Overall Review: Was going to put this in wife’s MacBook, but got leary and placed in son’s laptop instead (which he seldom uses).

Pros: Silent operation. Single platter. Low power consumption. Keeps cools.
I run it in a external enclosure and on it runs on USB power (no other cables necessary).
Cons: It would be nice if samsung’s technical documents were more forthright by stating explicity the drive was single platter.
