Pros: Checking out the comparison tables at Tom’s hardware guide, you will see that this drive is on par with or better than 7200 RPM drives. In fact, all of the new generation 5400 RPM drives are upping the ante to the point that 7200 RPM laptop drives may disappear. This drive is super quiet and power efficient.
Cons: None so far. Installation and operation have been smooth. No BSODs.
Pros: super fast…toms hardware review said benchmarks were as fast as a 320gb 7200rpm. I love it and its super quiet. the lower rpm use less power and according to a few forms and benchmark tests the 7200 rpm 2.5″ might go away. Alot more quite than the Hitachi i had. Programs seem to run faster and i have quite alot of space now for my windows and linux partions and a fat 32 storage partition for both os. I wanted a 3gps transfer but honestly my 80 gb was a 3gps and i don’t notice any difference on speed…it seems faster than before. I highly recommend this as an upgrade for your laptop or ps3…its fast and quiet. Low heat and seems to have a better battery use than my old 80gb.
Cons: none so far…would like a cheaper 3gps transfer on the sata. so far i had to go with a 1.5 instead of a 3 due to a big jump in price
Overall Review: if you are looking for a bigger 2.5″ hard disk for your laptop or ps3 this brand is seller. Samsung has a good record on toms hardware over western digital and seems to have lower power use and lower noise. I”ve been building/repairing pcs for years and highly recommend this hard disk over western digital and maxtor.
Pros: It’s 320GB, a bit less with formatting and such, but still a lot of space. It’s fast, quiet and isn’t a power hog.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Overall Review: Am really happy that I bought this drive!
Pros: I had Samsung HM160JI in my Dell Inspiron. Was running out of space, so I thought lest double the capacity. And the drive is perfect. No problems, no issues. Just works.
Cons: Well the 400GB and 500GB hard drive capacities are going to be released in march. Sigh.
Overall Review: I think Samsung drives are better than Western Digital as far as power dissipation goes. Laptops do not need hard drives that heat up too much (like Hitachi). This was a perfect drive, stays cool, and does not over heat the laptop. I will recommend it over WD (and hey … its cheaper than WD).
Pros: Great for upgrading that 40GBs on your PS3. Recognized instantly. Great brand name. All that extra space. Great deal!
Cons: Those screws that hold the hard drive in the frame are ridiculously tight. Be careful not to strip them!
Pros: I bought this hard drive to replace the 120GB that came with my Dell XPSM1210. I replaced it with the 320GB and now have 2 partitions running Windows XP pro and Windows Vista Home Premium. This drive is super quiet and runs way smoother than the 120GB Toshiba drive that came with my laptop. Newegg deleverd the drive on time! Newegg NEVER dissapoints me with their prices and fast delivery!
Cons: NONE!
Overall Review: I bought this drive about 2 weeks ago and it was $112 and now it is $109. I don’t care for a few bucks but this drive is SO worth much much more!
Pros: This is an excellent replacement for the stock 40 Gb drive. The replacement went smoothly and the PS3 picked it up and ran with the new size right at about 300Gb. Do not confuse what is shown with the idea that the drive is too small. There are other reviews that go into the mechanics of how drive size is determined. Overall this is an excellent investment.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Do not underestimate the statements made about the tightness of the screws. Sony poured some cement, super glue, epoxy, and hot tar in the hole before they called Superman in to crank the hell out of those screws. Make sure that your screwdriver fits snugly or you will strip it out and you will be a sad panda about it.

Pros: I bought this drive as a replacement for my PS3. I am very happy with this drive so far. I have been running this drive for quite a while including a 24 hour run with no problems. If you buy this drive for a PS3 then I would say it’s quite a bargain, considering how much the XBOX360 20gb and 120gb drives cost in comparison.
Cons: Non so far……..
