Pros: Fast for a laptop drive and quiet (for me anyways).
Cons: None
Overall Review: Have 2 of these in an Athena Power BP-SATA1842B 2.5″ (SATA, SAS) Back Plane Unit, was getting poor write speeds out of the drive but, that was attributed to the fans on the backplane putting out high EMI/RFI interference, disabling the fans on the backplane fixed the issue. The drives transfer about 35-40MB/sec which is not much faster than a typical modern 5400 RPM drive but the access times of these 7200 RPM drives are better.
Pros: -SATA interface is fast as expected
-The drive is whisper quiet
-The 7200 RPM delivers great transfer rates, I restored a whole 40 Gb Ghost image in 20 minutes
Cons: What? Like there has to be a con?
Overall Review: Ignore the other chumps who wrote bad reviews of this product, they must have some other axe to grind, because this product is fantastic. I have now purchased 4 Hitachi Travelstar 7200 RPM hard drives and have been utterly pleased with all of them.
Pros: Increased transfer speed from 22 mbs to 38 mbs on average and up 90mbs burst rate. So far very stable.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Does run a little warm, about 55 degrees C. I vented my hard drive cover and lowered it to 52degrees C.
Pros: this is an upgrade for a client. after monitoring it for the last year. This went over my expectations on how fast and quiet it is.
Cons: none
Pros: Fast and fairly quiet
Cons: none
Overall Review: Good upgrade for my hp dv8000 over the stock 5400 drive. Loading times have dropped and faster performance justify the expense. Bios default sata controller wouldnt recognize it but the legacy compliant spotted it right away. Very pleased overall.
Pros: Great drive, quite fast. Works perfectly in a MacBook.
Cons: It’s not 10,000RPM
Pros: Purchased with rush order and next day delivery, Recieved package in perfect condition and and installed it with no problems in my HP DV5139us notebook. Great improvement from the slow 4200 RPM drive that comes with it from HP.
Cons: It’s smaller than the HD that I replaced but doesnt make a diffrence because I have 2 500gig external hd’s that most of my stuff is saved on.
Overall Review: Good product, hopefully the review I read on here about it having a short lifespan doesnt jinx me.
