Pros: Easy install into my Asus W3V laptop. Replaced the original 60GB HD in less than 5 minutes (excluding the data cloning of course). No noticeable change adverse change in batter life or speed. Thanks Newegg! Another flawless transaction (and there have been many through the years!)

Cons: Seems to run just a little warmer than the stock drive which was also a Hitachi Travelstar (5400 RPM).

Overall Review: Perpendicular storage is still relatively new AFAIK, so we’ll see if the reliability is the same as the older technology.

Pros: Large capacity good price huge upgrade from the 60gb that I had.

Overall Review: I put this drive in my DELL 9300 laptop I was going to order one from dell but the largest one they had was 100gb and cost more than this drive. I ran a ghost backup of my old drive and then restored it to this one and have been running it for over a month with no problems.

Pros: Popped right into my HP-Pavillion ZD8060us laptop. Replace a 100 Gig drive so I could do a clean Vista install. Vista ultimate installed with no problems..runs like a champ.

Cons: None I can find.

Overall Review: I installed this drive in a Toshiba S1905-S301 laptop – replacing a 40gb 4200 rpm drive. The one problem I had was that the drive doesn’t exactly fit out of the box, rather I had to get kind-of creative to make it work on this laptop. Not a big deal, just a bit of a hassle. Aside from that the unit runs very cool, is nearly silent and is a great upgrade.

Pros: Hitachi usually makes a good product

Pros: Swapped a 40gb OEM toshiba with this HD and wow what an amazing improvement…guess i’ll keep this old laptop for another 5 years yikes. Would highly recommend this product for the quality and price! great buy.

Cons: There was a little problem with the video driver after the install but I guess that’s more a software issue more than anything…just found the video controller driver installed it and voila problem solved.

Pros: It was great as internal hardrive and USB hardrive without any extra power supply. Fast enough to serve as a potable backup device via USB. Very quiet and cool all the time.

Pros: Perfectly functional and well packaged drive right out of the box! Works like a charm. Recognized INSTANTLY by the BIOS in my HP ZD8000 laptop, even though HP says it would never work 😉 Just purchased 3 more as we speak to replace the smaller 40 and 60 Gig drives in our other laptops. Get ’em while they’re HOT!
