Pros: This is a solid drive and an excellent warranty.
Cons: Granted there are a few bad drives out there. But between newegg rma and the 3 year warranty from hitachi you will get a new one within a couple of weeks.
Pros: None
Cons: Terrible quality
Overall Review: I bought this drive to replace the original Hitachi drive which failed in a Toshiba notebook. This new drive failed within 30 days of installation. Since it was not eligible for RMA to Newegg, I had to RMA it to Hitachi GST at my own cost , nearly $20.
In addition to this cost, all the time I spent reinstalling the OS and software that my kids use was wasted. I’m very unhappy about it.
