Pros: Old Dell D600 needed a drive. I installed a Fujitsu drive in a Acer laptop and that worked fine. Tried this one in this old Dell with same results. Now if I could just get the sound to work I’d be done with old LT. Far as the Fujitsu goes, it’s plug and play. Sweet.
Cons: None here so far regarding the drive. Only thing is, I wish it could of been a lil faster spinner, but this LT probably wouldn’t know the diff..
Overall Review: Newegg always handles my account with kid gloves. I have to admit I’m blown away in regards to just how fast my parts, etc, get here. Yea I know we’re both in the same part of the state, but still they don’t slack. That’ll work ! Thanks again, NE.
Pros: works great right out of the box
Cons: none at all
Overall Review: somehow ups got it from california to my front door in ny in 1 day. Astonishing.
Pros: I put the drive in an external enclosure (pocket drive). It seems silent, vibration free, and cool running.
Cons: Price is high but if you can believe the ad copy, it’s designed for harsher use.
Pros: Works perfectly! Replaced a drive that died on my Dell 5150 Inspiron notebook. Quite, runs like a champ.
Cons: None
Pros: Works great
Cons: nothing bad about it
Overall Review: best bang for your buck
Pros: Very Quiet! You cannot tell when it is running… Never realized how noisy the old one was…
Seems to be about as quick as the previous one. But the OEM that the laptop came with was so loud… Never realized there could be so much change in noise level, or I would have done this years ago.
Very simple upgrade, guide information, is under the dell support and the community forums, on the manufacturers website.
Cons: No documentation came with the drive… NOTHING…
Understand that only the hard drive sealed in plastic and cardboard, will arrive at your doorstep. But did not need it, since I already had found a guide on the web, so no spilled milk, no worries…
Have not had a single problem with the drive… Have already recommended it to another person… Time will tell how it holds up… Will update if I find any real cons with the drive!
Overall Review: I don’t know why FUJITSU is not better known for their quality of hard drives… If I did not have it, I would not believe how much quieter it is than my old drive. I stumbled upon this one, and was attracted by the reviews of low noise and happy customers…
Pass it on, and give it a try you will not be disappointed!
Pros: Popped it in, rebooted and loaded windows vista. no problems; that’s the way I like it.
Cons: none
