Pros: Quiet! Much quieter than the OEM Travelstar.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Overall Review: Newegg had this to me in record time and I was able to get my Thinkpad back up and running with minimal downtime. Hope this one lasts longer than the OEM Travelstar!
Pros: None for this product…but don’t get me wrong, Newegg is one of the best, if not the best place for online computer hardware.
Cons: I bought this for use on a linux system, but the spindown/idle clicks were just too much. I have fugitsu, western digital, and hitachi drives, and they all have this annoying click. On all others issueing hdparm -B 254 /dev/hdx works, but not on this one…(the clicking is significantly louder for this one as well). So, I returned it for a comparable hitachi drive.
Pros: Quiet and fast (5400RPM). Fits neatly into my Dell Inspiron 9300 with no troubles.
Cons: None that I can see.
Overall Review: One of the better values out there for a good combination of speed and noise.
Pros: Good performance considering I was upgrading from a 4200rpm HD. Very quiet.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I ordered this product along with a another product from a competitor. Both were shipped from the same location and the same time, but one was Fedex the other was UPS. Fedex beat UPS by 1 day, but I did pay more for Fedex shipping. Both are still good carriers, but that might be helpful for any last minute shoppers out there.
Pros: kicken HD, never once had a promblem with it, recieved fast
Cons: none
Overall Review: dont use UPS, I am still waiting for ram I bought, and they are very rude
Pros: Nice Drive, fast and quiet. Great Price @ the time i got it and of course Newegg came through ahead of the game as usual.
Cons: took me three days to decide between this one and two otherI was looking at. Gald I stayed with this choice.
Pros: This is my 3rd drive. This drive is has been completely reliable in my road warrior set up. It is in use on the road 250+ days per year. Super fast shipping! Thanks Newegg!
Cons: None
Overall Review: Fujitsu has earned my complete respect.

Pros: Fujitsu MHV20xxAH series hard drives are the best choice for external hard drives as coupled with proper 2.5”enclosure (which does not eat too much wattage itself) they can operate on modern Pentium M or Centrino Core Solo/Duo WITHOUT power cable (either AC-DC, PS2, USB 5VDC power adapters). I tested my 80gb Fujitsu against Hitachi Travelstar 80gb and Seagate 120gb (both 2.5”) and it was the only hard drive powered by the USB data cable. Hitachi and Seagate reuired additional power cable. In addition to small startup wattage, this Fujitsu series does not heat up as recent Seagate 2.5” series in my opinion.
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Tested enclosures with this hard drive (all tests were done on Dell Inspiron 600m, Pentium M 1.86GHz, and Dell port replicator):
– N82E16817123023 – allows to use this HD without additional power adapter.
– N82E16817334003 and other looking alike – did not allow to use the HD in the enclosure w/o HD
. I use it in old (bought in 2003 ) enclosure, no longer available at newegg.
General advice for purchasing 2.5 enclosure: get one with USB to 5VDC pin cable and data USB cable. Those enclosure usually supply enough wattage to the hard drive.
Pros: Quiet! Much quieter than the OEM Travelstar.
Cons: None whatsoever.
