Pros: Lightweight, affordable, and PCs see it right off the bat. Have tried using it between PCs and MACs, but some MACs don’t seem to be able to read it for whatever reason. We just did a quick reformat in ExFat and that works great on W7 and MACs. The 500 GB size works fine for my needs.
Cons: none
Pros: Great reliability, affordable, great capacity for the cost etc.
ok, Ive had this thing for over 2 years now. I bought it for school in 10th grade and now I’m a senior and this thing is still running smoothly after 2 years of wear, tear, and multiple accidental drops. It’s taken one hell of a beating over those years ( I admit, I am clumsy) but it still stores everything i need and more.
Cons: The drive has a very smooth surface, making it almost frictionless on a desk. Many times have my hands bumped it causing it to fall. I fixed this by putting a strip of duct-tape (fixes EVERYTHING) on the bottom as a grip. now it doesn’t slide and i still get the great capacity.
Overall Review: For a student in multiple tech classes, this thing is perfect.
I recommend buying a case for it from case logic.

Cons: Upon first plug-in, I received a pop-up stating that I needed to reformat the drive. Before doing this, I plugged it into a different Windows machine which in turn gave me the same pop-up. I preceded to plug it into my Linux machine and it gave me an error and wouldn’t mount it. I then tried to reformat it on the original machine and I received yet another pop-up stating that Windows could not format the drive and to make sure it was connected. By far the worst experience with a brand new device
