Pros: No external power supply
Good capacity, average speed
Cons: None
Overall Review: At 5400 RPM, its as fast as most laptop hard drives. With the 160 GB capacity, and the USB power supply, it extends the capability of my laptop, and operates seemlessly as another HD.
While it comes with two USB cables, I’ve found that only the thick one is required on my HP nc6400. I usually leave the other USB cable unplugged, and it works fine.
Pros: These drives are great! I dont ever use the Ceedo software installed but I guess its a cool if you dont have your own machine with you and your having to do the internet cafe thing on the run. hehehe. And if you dont like that stuff, just blow it away. Who cares? Anyway, I like the orange light. It makes me feel safe. You can also stack these little guys. So right now I have a little short stack of these drives (3). By the way, I find them to be very reliable and great for travel because you dont have to lug around some fat external with a big ol honkin’ P/S.
Cons: mmmm…They could change the color scheme. Its got a cool 70s vibe with the brown and orange but maybe they could do something crazier with the colors. Not for me ofcourse, I’m talkin about for those scary kids down the street! Ghhessh..
Overall Review: As a general rule of thumb, I never venture passed 75% usage on any hard drive. Thats just me. Anyway, there are some other drives out there but I’m pretty much a seagate guy all the way and have been ever since I got into this computer stuff.
Pros: Small size and form factor.
Cons: 2 USB input required.
Overall Review: I was going overseas and needed an HDD, this works pretty nicely.
Pros: This thing is great. I can’t remember it forcing anything onto my computer like drivers or whatnot. When inserted into USB connections it brings up a nice window fo ryou to chose what you want to do. Extra nice when you take the company laptop on a trip and you want to bring your own media with you. No power plug needed with USB 🙂
Cons: None yet!
Overall Review: Great place to store a good bit of data. Very handy and convenient.
Pros: Works great. Nice size drive in a small portable form. Good transfer speeds. 2 USB connectors eliminate the need for an additional power cord.
Cons: Some may not appreciate the Ceedo software preloaded on the drive.
Overall Review: Great drive for those of us constantly on the go. This drive comes with me everywhere I go.
Pros: It’s portable and 160 gigs.
Cons: 2 usb ports are taken up w. the cable. I tried just using a standard 1 port cable (from a 160g western digital passbook) and get write errors like crazy.
With the supplied 2 usb port cable it seems to work fine w. transfers of 15-16 MB/s (9g transfer)
Of course the WD one transfers at the same speed is the same size and only takes up 1 usb port
Overall Review: Get the Western Digital Passbook unless you want an extra usb slot taken up.
Pros: Good drive, works great
Cons: None.

Pros: This thing is great! It’s so light weight and no heavy power supply to carry around. Transferring large files over USB gets me about 1gb every 45-50sec. Roughly the same for many smaller files, probably about 1gb/min. Recommended to a friend who bought the 120gb version and he loves it too.
Cons: No carrying case. I’m currently just using the thick plastic/rubber bag the drive and cable were shipped in to protect it. It’s doing ok, but I’d like something with some padding.
Overall Review: I started building systems with Seagate hard drives 5 years ago and haven’t had one die yet. They are all super fast and very quiet. There’s a reason their products are warrantied for 5 years and other hard drives aren’t.
