Pros: Simple plug n play design, no setup disk needed! Plenty long power cord, a/c cord and firewire cable plug in snuggly, nearly silent; fan is very quiet.

Cons: 2MB cache; so installation of certain games I have were rather slow, even on usb 2.0.

Overall Review: make sure you have USB 2.0 or you will suffer badly. i have a horrible pc with USB 1.1 and i definitly am hurting. i mainly got it to back up all my music, HD videos, and photos off of my PS3 hard drive, but it works nice to install my PC games to as well. Seagate is the company that makes the internal hard drives within every PS3, so I figured I’d go with one of there externals. i would definitly recommend this product to a friend.

Overall Review: Read long term reviews. Lots of cheaper brands crash with a little time. I turn mine on only to back up and access. Heat is a drives enemy.

Pros: Easy hook-up using Windows XP. Drive was recognized quickly, assigned a letter, and I began to use it immediately. Fantastic for storing my video and music files. Runs very quietly.

Cons: None for me, but manual insists on using only the USB ports on the BACK of laptops and cases. Says that front ports could cause problems.

Overall Review: Recommended for those who need that extra storage. Lots of room, great price and a trusted brand name. All that and NewEgg’s reputation for fast and excellent customer service.

Pros: Very good product. Bought it, backed up my movies, pictures and what not and then a week later, MOBO died. Thank the maker I bought this lil’ thing. 3 months later, same thing happened. This Seagate External HD has been a lifesaver. Works great and transfers stuff fast. I have even spilled water on it and it’s still runnin’ like a champ.

Pros: Seagate External Hard Drive. Delivered as promised! Less than $500.00. Easy to install and easy to use. Thanks for the great product! I use my computer every day, a tool of the trade so to speak. Back-up took less than one hour; back-up used to take half a day!

Pros: This product is of excellent quality. It is fast, quiet, and sturdy. I’ve had a few external hard drives over the past years, and this one is one of the best.

Pros: Reliable hard drive if you’re looking for something simple and it’s probably the best for the money. Simple plug and play. There’s an on/off button which is useful. Silent, it’s barely audible and has a great cooling system, barely gets warm from what I can tell. I currently own about 4 of these for various computers.

Cons: None that I can find.

Overall Review: I’m just using the hd for backup purposes at the moment. Systems run Win XP.
