Pros: This microserver is probably a good machine, but if you order this you will most likely not receive what you wanted.
Cons: Ordered two, received one microserver with an Opteron x3216 processor, even though the packing list showed two of the correct units (didn’t notice it was the incorrect one until later). Contacted Avantis about the missing machine, who had me send them pictures of the box it was received in. They sent me the second microserver, this time with an Opteron x3418 processor, which was still not what I ordered. I can’t return to Newegg now as it’s been too long, and Avantis said that those models where the only ones they had in stock, so that’s what they sent me.
Overall Review: This is probably a good microserver, but don’t order it from Avantis – you will most likely not get what you ordered. If you’re ok with the x3216 version (much, much slower), then that would probably be ok to order from them, and it’s much cheaper.
