The SURFboard SBG6580 combines the functionality of a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem, a dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi access point, and a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet router in a sleek, stylish package. It is an affordable, complete solution for your home network. And with built-in security features, you can enjoy a safe and secure Internet connection – never have to worry.
High Speed DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem
When it functions as a DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem, the SURFboard SBG6580 is compatible with major U.S. cable internet providers, like Xfinity by Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Brighthouse and many others. It supports the latest Internet standard – Ipv4 and IPv6 – to expand network addressing capabilities. It features eight download and four upload channels, providing efficient, reliable internet access. It provides Internet download speeds up to 343Mbps and upload speeds up to 131Mbps*, which is 8X faster speed than DOCSIS 2.0, ensuring maximum performance.

802.11N Wi-Fi Router
The SURFboard SBG6580 works as a high-performance dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi access point.
It features 2 x 2 onmi-direction antenna and comes support for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz band frequencies, giving you the flexibility of connecting to different types of Wi-Fi signals. It deliver a maximum Wi-Fi speed of up to 300 Mbps per band, letting you wirelessly stream Full HD video and play multiplayer video games with less lag time.
4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Router
The SURFboard SBG6580 also features four Gigabit Ethernet ports, enabling flexible, high-speed wired connectivity.
Handy Designs
Front-panel LEDs indicate status and simplify troubleshooting, giving you the ultimate convenience. The easy-to-access Wi-Fi pairing button allows for effortless Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS) wireless connections.
