Pros: Took 2 minutes to install.
Noticeable speed improvement.
Cheap Price.
Cons: None
Pros: Low latency and 1T
Cons: plastic packaging allows ram sticks to flop about in shipment
Overall Review: Plug and play 4-4-4-12 1T timing in Acer 4520 laptop.
Pros: Great timings, thats the whole reason i bought these. when i still had vista on the laptop, it increased my gaming score from 2.1 with the cruddy stock dell ram to 3.1, thats impressive (still not enough to play any games in vista so iput xp on it XD) Works great in Dual channel on a Dell inspiron 1501 (gift)….btw, just so you know, if you have a problem where the ram isnt running in dual channel in the 1501, its not the ram, i’ve seen it on a couple of these and the ram runs fine in dual channel, just for some reason its not active on some of the 1501 motherboards, call dell and they might be able to help.
Cons: none so far, allows me to play WOW,Fable, and Exteel on a low end dell inspiron 1501 with decent settings on a sempron 3500+ 1.8 ghz, havent tride any other games because i dont own to many games that will even start on my laptop, but thats why i got my desktop XD
Overall Review: kingston is the way to go for stable, highly compatibility, you cant go wrong with hyper x, getting some for my desktop to. and btw, make sure that you get good ventilation, you dont want any of your parts on your laptop overheating to much, especially this nice ram (but that goes for any system XD)
Pros: Works in HP Pavilion dv2225nr without a problem. Maximized the allowed RAM.
Cons: none
Overall Review: memtest shows a lower RAM throughput that factory installed RAM. I do not trust the results though.
Pros: Obviously provides better performance than 1GB Total
Cons: none that I can tell
Overall Review: I just upgraded from 1GB (2X512MB) and these make a remarkable difference. I use a lot of memory intensive programs such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. My HP DV9000 used to get pretty bogged down at 1GB RAM, but 2GB makes all the difference in the world! You can’t go wrong, what a difference $20 can make!
Pros: * Low price
* Low latency
* Recognized by BIOS and Vista without a hitch
* Works in a Dell Inspiron 1501 with Vista Home Ed. SP1
* Fast shipping from Newegg / UPS
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: I replaced the stock 1x 512MB stick with these 2x 1GB sticks and have had no problems yet. The boot time for Vista decreased by about 3 seconds and overall performance is much better.
I can’t review the reliability of this RAM yet, but I don’t expect to have any problems in the near future.
Pros: Greatly increased a slow older laptop. Easy to isntall
Cons: none.
