In short, 204-pin small outline dual inline memory modules (SODIMMs) are the form factor used to provide DDR3 memory modules for notebook computers and other small form factor computing platforms. 204-pin SODIMMs are currently available in PC3-8500 (DDR3 1066MHz) and PC3-10600 (DDR3 1333MHz) speeds.
To use DDR3 memory, your system must have both a 204-pin SODIMM slot and a chipset that supports DDR3 memory. A DDR3 SODIMM will not fit into DDR2 or DDR memory sockets. (Information about which memory technology your system uses is included in the Crucial Memory Advisor™ tool.)

Pros: I upgraded my laptop from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM. That worked perfectly.
I was very happy that I was able to modify my laptop all by myself, and it did not get destroyed in the process. This encourages me to upgrade the hard drive.
Cons: I knew that I would need two RAM boards to make the upgrade, so I ordered 2. But Newegg knew that I would need two when I ordered one, so they helpfully send two boards when you order one, so when I ordered 2, I got 4. Somehow there was too much thinking going on and not enough communicating, on both sides. Also, there was no improvement when I upgraded the RAM, because I never do anything that needs a lot of RAM. I was expecting this, but it was still a slight surprise to have it happen.
Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this product, and I would also recommend Newegg.

Pros: works flawlessly in Acer Aspire XC603G-UW14 with windows 8.1 with bing. the system flies like a fast jet paired up with an SSD drive. Will buy, hopefully it will be just new egg delivering.
Cons: Ordered on new egg site, overseas orders takes long time to reach. will try to order in the us only.
