Pros: I just got my first mac… Please be advised before you complain and blame newegg, crucial. DO a enough research about Ram and Mac computers. They are stupidly picky. And require exact specification and order. Go to
http://www.crucial.com/mac/index.aspx
THis will scan your Apple based computer and give you the CORRECT ram
Cons: noobs
Pros: I gave this two stars since I have another set of the same memory in a 2010 i7 MacBook Pro. It works fine and the first set worked. I bought that back in December.
Newegg was good with the returns.
Cons: Bought more for a 2011 i7 MacBook Pro. Two DOA sets in a row. Based on the similar feedback from others, this second set is going back for a refund. I am going to consider another brand rather than wait for another set of chips I’ll just have to RMA for a third time.
Overall Review: It is too bad another brand that used to be considered one of the better bets in the industry is apparently falling off.
Pros: Works perfectly in my 2011 13″ Core i7 2.7GHz MacBook Pro.
Cons: Packaging is difficult to open (prepare to get bloodied!). Eggsaver (free) shipping was disappointing – 5 days to ship two states away. No real tracking.
Overall Review: Next time I’ll skip the Eggsaver and go UPS
Pros: – Newegg put at an amazing price for a matched pair w/no rebate hassles.
– Micron chips = same memory Apple uses
– Runs perfectly at 1333MHz in 2009 27-inch iMac 2.8GHz i7.
Cons: – absolutely none
Overall Review: I bought two sets and am running 16GB RAM in my iMac. Apple wants $1200 for 16GB. This is a no-brainer.
Pros: Swap in for the 4gb that came with my HP Elitebook 8440w. Power it up and all 8gb are there. WEI for the memory went from 5.9 to 7.4…
Cons: None so far
Pros: 10% price break on “NE e-blast”
Quick ship, well packaged.
From 4 to 8MB Changed the Win7 index from 3.9 to 5.1 on my wifes’ new Asus All-In-One.
Cons: The Asus All-In-One is a Mother-Bear to upgrade. Stand- bezel, stand and whole back has to come off, then remove a cover over the MB to get to the Ram recepticles.
Pros: I bought this mem for a HP G62-340US laptop to max out my mem. Super easy install, worked without problems from the start. Great improvement in performance. Well packaged.
Cons: No cons,happy with purchase.
Overall Review: Found it humorous that people complained about getting memory out of packaged, my 6 year grandson took mine out of package. Hold package with both hands, thumbs on either side of top and push mem from bottom with your finger tips. Pops right out without any problem.
