Pros: Lifetime warranty, American-based Company, often used by computer OEMs.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Overall Review: Crucial makes top quality stuff, totally worth every single cent. As a certified Apple Technician, I’ll only stock and use Crucial memory for both workstations and servers. Like I said, only the best for my Mac.
Pros: Replaced stock Lenovo RAM (PC5300) with this.. WOW what a difference in performance!! Faster boot, faster application loading times and Photoshop to boot.
Cons: None it’s upgrade RAM
Overall Review: Should have upgraded my Lenovo X61s sooner…SSD is next.
Pros: Efficient, no errors, does what it’s suppose to do.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: I am upgrading to 8 gigs of ram total from 4 gigs on my Sony VAIO VGN-AW230J laptop running Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit. Windows 7 64 bit alone can use up to 2 gigs of memory and with less memory, caching uses the hard drive which slows down your computer. Crucial has not let me down on the five computers I own and two I have built in the past. If your having trouble getting your 64 bit Windows 7 to see all your memory:First:
Set maximum memory win 7 x64
Check the advanced boot options.
Go to Start, in the search bar type msconfig and press enter
System Configuration window will open on the screen
Click on tab named “boot”
Click on “Advanced Options” and uncheck the box for “Maximum Memory”
2nd: Make sure Maximum Memory is enabled in your Bios, check your Bios manufacturer’s website to see how to enable this in your Bios.
Pros: Fully compatible to my Dell Inspiron 1440. Vastly improved my laptop’s performance.
Cons: NONE. I can’t believe I waited this long to upgrade the RAM!
Overall Review: You won be sorry going with Crucial. I’ve bought RAM from them for years and never had any issues.
Pros: Great RAM, works well in my HP DV9000-series laptop, no trouble out of it in 3 years of ownership.
Cons: My laptop doesn’t support more than 4GB?
Pros: Ordered these RAMS for an old Dell XPS M1330. I have an old XPS M1330 purchased 3 1/2 years ago and had only 2 GIG of RAM running Windows Vista. Upgraded the to 4 GIG of RAM from Crucial, installed WIN 7 Pro 64 bit, no problem, ran mem test, no problem.
Cons: Price… these are older memory standards, you can purchase 8 GIG of DDR3 for the same price. I know they probably have stopped making these sticks but come on half the memory for your $$
Overall Review: I have purchased server and workstation RAM directly from Crucial for my clients, their RAM always worked and passed the mem test so far on 20 different servers and 50+ laptops ranging from Apple, Dell, and Lenovo. That is why I purchase Crucial memory for my own laptops. For performance and reliability, I give it 5 Eggs but on Price 2 Eggs.
Pros: Cheap, fast, worked instantly with my Inspiron 1420. What else could you ask for?
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: Runs at 667 MHz on my machine instead of 800, but this is a limitation of my system’s chipset, not the RAM itself.
