Pros: Running this in one slot, and the 4GB factory SODIMM in the other slot. These play nice together.
Cons: As of this writing (March 2016) it costs about 50% more than ddr4.
Overall Review: Crucial are not (now) offering any guidance for the T460. For what it works, this works in mine.
Pros: Works in both my ASUS UX303LA-DS51T Ultrabook, which nominally only supports an 8GB SO-DIMM, and my Zotac ZBOX-CI319NANO-U (Intel N2807), which nominally only supports a 4GB SO-DIMM.
Cons: none
Pros: super
Cons: fairly expensive
Overall Review: appreciate Crucial’s quality
Pros: Works great and upgraded my laptop nicely. Package arrived early and was well rapped and cared for..
Cons: The ram was originally listed as DDR3L, but the label says DDR3. granted its just a labeling issue as 1.35V DDR3 is in fact DDR3L – a fact most people don’t know.
Overall Review: I would 100% recommend this item as long as you can get it on sale. Its worth it to upgrade an older laptop. It allowed mine to do CAD work and gaming afterwards and its about as good of a RAM as you can buy, especially at this pricepoint.
Pros: You can use 2 of these 16GB modules in an Intel Broadwell (5xxx) based laptop. Neither Intel or the manufacturer of the laptop will state this or support this configuration – mobile Broadwell does not officially support more than 2x8GB due to JEDEC timing noncompliance issues. This particular chip happens to use timings that seem to work with Broadwell. That being said there is no guarantee this will work with your BIOS. This will NOT work with Intel 4xxx line of processors unless they are stated to support 2x16GB explicitly.
I have experienced no issues using ~28GB of RAM in Windows on 2x16GB of these modules with my Dell Latitude E7250 for about a week now. The other reviewer that could not get this to work simply did not read the manual or research how much memory their laptop could support.
These chips max out the rate of mobile i7s (1600MHz) so they are going to be the best chip you can find for your laptop.
Cons: Doesn’t make me dinner.
Overall Review: Read your device manual and check if your device can support this before you buy it.
Pros: – Implements DDR3L specification with 16GB in a single PCB
– Compatible with Intel Broadwell processor generation (Core 5th gen)
Cons: – Extremely expensive when compared to current generation modules
Overall Review: – Would recommend this product to be used in older DDR3-based devices that have few RAM sockets
– Be careful with processor generation, 16GB DDR3 on a single module is only supported on Intel Broadwell devices and onward
Overall Review: good product, works as advertised. good customer service.

Pros: -Easy to install
-BIOS and Windows 10 recognized the full 16 GB module
-Its a Crucial product (I’ve used them before)
Cons: -Cost (see below)
Overall Review: I own a Lenovo ThinkPad, model 20DM009GUS. I had researched if the PC could support 16 GB of RAM, and Lenovo specified it only supported 8 GB. Online resources stated it could, even the Crucial memory utility and a Lenovo Companion Utility I had installed showed 16. This module dropped right in and the booted into Windows 10 without an issue. Both Windows and the BIOS confirmed the 16 GB module. The only Con I have is with the cost. Kits of 2 x 8 GB are cheaper, though I understand 16 GB is on one module making cost higher. If you need a single stick of 16 GB in DDR3, this might be your winner (double check speed and system compatibility first).
