Pros: This RAM seems to be better than it’s rated, as my motherboard automatically sets this to run at CAS 9 instead of CAS 11 timing. Plus this is one of the most affordable 4GB RAM sticks out there. With G.Skill you know you’re getting high quality RAM with a lifetime warranty. These guys have been my go-to company for RAM for years now.
Cons: None
Overall Review: RAM speed is pretty meaningless for gaming on modern Intel CPUs with a discrete GPU, so I buy the cheapest DDR3 from a brand I trust a lot. Which is why I picked this. However, if you game on an integrated GPU the RAM speed is very important to your performance since you don’t have separate high speed GDDR5 RAM for your framebuffer like with a graphics card. So if you’re running an AMD APU or using one of Intel’s HD Graphics iGPUs then you really need higher speed memory to get the most out of it. The difference is pretty significant with integrated graphics, and DDR3-2100 seems to be the sweet spot in that case based on benchmarks I have seen.
Pros: Fast and inexpensive.
Cons: No heatsink, but you get what you pay for.
Overall Review: I’ve been using the AMD A4 5300 on a BIOSTAR AMD A55MD2 Ver. 7.0 (Hudson D2) Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with some G.SKILL Value 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 as a media center. I have a Rosewill RHRC-11002 IR Remote Controller to run the whole thing from my couch. I run XBMC, windows media center, Hulu, and play blue-rays and DVD’s. I’ve had zero hardware issues (Ubuntu gave me a hard time with the remote so I swapped to windows 7), and zero cable bill.
Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the RAM is working well in your computer. The high speed and capacity RAM can allow the system to run very smooth during streaming, HD play and record, DVD/BlueRay plays, and so forth. It is better than any entertainment system you can buy. The memory does not come with a heat spreader, but rest assured the RAM itself runs extremely cool even under full load. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Pros: my son’s old Dell XPS has had the original 6gigs for years , being a triple channel I had to be careful , but I only use Gskill for my builds ,so I got 1 4gig stick for channel 1 , swapped out the first 2gig stick for my new 4gig Gskill and it’s like a whole different computer, fired right up , no issues, and noticeable pick-up speed
Cons: none
Overall Review: I won’t use anything ever other then Gskill ram , never had a problem, with any of there product
Pros: Price
Cons: None
Overall Review: If you don’t know anything about ram and you’re looking for a cheap upgrade go with this. Speed and timing are great for mid-range PC

Pros: I’ve bought quite a few of these modules (10+) from several vendors and never had one DOA. They are great for budget builds.
Not that it adds performance, or is ever seen by the end user, but I do like that they are black vs. some other boring shade of green.
Cons: No cons.
Pros: Very solid RAM I purchased 8 gigs in January and just purchased a third stick which i’m installing with my new 770.
Haven’t had a single issue other than a somewhat aggravating installation due to my motherboard.
The chips run pretty cool in my mid tower so no problems with thermal output.
Cons: N/A
Overall Review: Rubber shroud would make it look cooler
