Pros: I my last review I had a FX 4100 and stated it could not take full advantage of this RAM.
I have since upgraded to the FX 8350 on my CHVFZ and I was right. The 8350 did mke a difference. I have had these up to 2600 Mhz @ 1.65v. I did find that in benching lower timings with lower frequencies, the best seems to be @ 2000 Mhz with 9-10-10 27 T1. That is just for benching. For everyday use I keep them at 2200 with slightly looser timings and get faster and smoother performance in games and menial tasks as well.
Cons: I just wish they would not put a goofy sticker over the beautiful heat sinks.
Overall Review: RAM has gotten so expensive now but this is still worth the money.
Pros: Good combo price
Was able to get stable at 1.5v 1866Mhz
Cons: Consistently ran at 1.683-1.687v using XMP
Overall Review: Using an ASUS Z97-A motherboard I consistently got 1.683-1.687 volts using the 2400 MHz XMP profiles. I really don’t need 2400 MHz and I don’t want to run the voltages that high, so I played around to see how fast I could get these to go at 1.5v.
XMP 2440 1.65v (actual 1.683-1.687v)
2400 10-12-12-31 2t Memory Latency: 48.0
These were all stable at 1.5v: (actual 1.53v)
1600 9-9-9-24 1t Memory Latency: 56.1
1600 8-8-8-24 1t Memory Latency: 54.1
1866 9-10-9-28 1t Memory Latency: 51.9
1866 8-9-9-24 1t Memory Latency: 50.5
I use the last one as it gets me pretty close to the 2400 XMP but runs at a much more comfortable 1.5v.
Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you got the RAM at a good price. This is a very popular memory kit as you get great looks, high performance, and high capacity at a low price. As you have experienced, this memory kit is very flexible, so even if you have a CPU that can not support DDR3-2400, or if you don’t want to run the voltage higher than 1.50V, this RAM is still compatible and capable of it all. Those are very good testing results that should be helpful to many people. Extreme frequency performs best for the latest Intel CPUs, but to maintain a low voltage, a good performance level can still be had with a lower frequency and timing configuration. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Pros: Easy to set up. Make sure you have a compatible motherboard and that your using a Ivy Bridge chip. Speeds are amazing! They look cooler in person. Screams quality! Nice work guys.
Cons: Color. But we cant have a perfect world. Dont let that keep you from buying it. Its very nice ram.
Pros: This RAM feels extremely solid in you hand. You could easily use it to open a bottle, use to open your other Newegg purchases, fight a bear, doubles as a prison shank.
Instantly makes you better at w.e you are doing.
Removable heat spreader.
Color combo matches theme.
BUY THIS RAM its amazing.
Endorsed by Liam Neeson.
Cons: Haven’t found one yet G.Skill has made a solid product.
Overall Review: I am extremely happy with my purchase and plan to buy another set soon to upgrade my PC.
Pros: It looks great and works the way it was intended. It is fast and runs at the given XMP Profile without any issue.
Fairly tight timings for 2400mhz
Cons: In my first set, one of the sticks just stopped working out of the blue. G.Skill got me set up though with a free replacement. Turn around was fairly quick.
Unfortunately, stuff like this happens, so I’m not going to knock off too much for that. Previous to that, it passed 16 hours of Memtest.
Overall Review: Some of these people are complaining that they weren’t able to get the full 2400mhz. For Intel based systems, anything passed 1600mhz is overclocking the memory controller on the CPU. It is most likely the CPU’s fault rather than the RAM. G.Skill is very helpful when it comes to asking them questions about this.
Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you think the memory looks great and it is working fast in your system. This is an extreme memory kit, so with a capable CPU and compatible motherboard, you should experience fantastic results. For DDR3-2133+, generally the top-of-the-line CPU is necessary to achieve such high frequency. If you are not sure of which CPU can support it, or what your CPU can support, feel free to ask us and we will provide all the necessary details you need. Many issues can be avoided ahead of time by making sure all hardware is compatible and what is necessary to achieve extreme frequencies. In many cases, overclocking experience is needed to achieve maximum performance, so if you do not have much we will be glad to help if you contact us. The G.Skill support team will make sure to fully maximize RAM capabilities.

Pros: Great Memory! This is my second review because I wanted to explain how I’ve managed to OC this stuff.
This is my System:
MB: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
CPU: intel Core i7 4770K (OC 4.6 1.22V & 4.4 Ring 1.075v)
Mem: 4x4GB G.Skill Trident X 2400 (Read Other Thoughts)
GPU: PNY GeForce GTX 780

PSU: Corsair HX 850 (850 Watts)
TS: Corsair H100i w/ 2x Silvestone 110CFM fans Push
Case: Thor v2 White Edition
Cons: None
Overall Review: I’ve been able to OC the memory beyond 2457mhz in either profile. I was also able to reduce timings manually @ 2400 mhz. Some can be further reduced but with mild instability.

Pros: Popped into my Z77 Sabertooth — changed to 2400 in Bios, that’s it. I expected a challenge at least but what can I say? Been steady working @2400mhz for almost two months and no problems at all.

Pros: Look great.
XMP settings worked perfectly.
Fast.
Cons: Could be a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for.
Overall Review: Ram is getting a little expensive, however the premium for this DDR 2400 over DDR 1600 is just a few bucks. With a new Z87 or Z97 motherboard DDR 1600 no longer hits the sweet spot. There are serious benefits to running faster memory. DDR 2400 ram for me is the sweet spot these days and this quality Cas10 kit ticks all the right boxes. XMP worked perfectly on my Asus motherboard. It runs at 1.64V. I have not tried overclocking it, but see no reason for now.
Terrific ram, well done G Skill.
