Eggxpert ReviewPros: Bought this set for my Asus Rampage IV Extreme built, because this motherboard has 8 memory slots. With all of the slots filled, the system booted at standard speed, which is 1600. I immediately changed the BIOS to use the X.M.P. profile, and it has no problem running at 2133 with all of the timing specs. without much effort. I still haven’t done much in terms of overclock and over voltage, but I am quite happy to have 32GB of Quad Channel running at 2133 and CAS 9. The memory bandwidth is off the chart.
Cons: May be the price, but you get what you pay for. May be the no frill packaging — all eight sticks are just stuffed in a plain brown box. At this price, I’d expect anti-static sleeves at the minimum.
Overall Review: Even though Asus doesn’t have this memory on their QVL, G.Skill’s website says that they have tested this with the R4E motherboard.
32GB is probably overkill for normal Windows applications, but I need it for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effect.
Another benefit of having this much RAM is that you can set up a RAMDisk, e.g., you can allocate 8GB for a RAMDisk, and use this RAMDisk to hold your Windows pagefile and temp directory. Not only does it help to improve Windows performance, it also extends the life of your boot SSD as those high frequency write operations are now moved to the RAMdisk.
Pros: Plugged up these chips into Asus P9X79 Deluxe, no problems. I like the heatsink design… looks effective without being overbearing. Modules are normal height which is important to me.
Cons: None. This is some awesome memory.
Overall Review: The modules came in foam bags placed inside of a cardboard box. I don’t know if these bags are anti-static, so I was a little concerned. Memtest confirms no issues, so I am a happy camper.
The XMP profile is set to 2133 @ 1.65v, while the J-DEC profile is set to 1600 @ 1.5v. Be sure to enable the XMP profile in your system bios.
Pros: I won’t use anything else, been through the corsair route and even with the flagship dominator’s they FAIL after about 3-4 weeks …. These are rock solid and do what they say and then some.
Cons: they ain’t free
Overall Review: I build for a living and these are all I ever use
Pros: I’ve been buying G.Skill ripjaws because my huge Noctua NH-D14 cpu, and these fit jjavascript:Biz.Feedback.RateProduct.Form.submit(‘display’)ust fine under.
XMP set up was super easy and passed memtest with flying color
Cons: Was little uncomfortable to leave my VCCSA at 1.5v at default XMP setting, and have read it would degrade my CPU 3930k rev. C2 in some forum… so I manually reduced VCCSA down to 1.15v or something like that… and no problems at all.

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear the memory was easy to set up and it works flawlessly. VCCSA definitely should not be 1.50V, make sure it is reduced to the value shown for XMP Profile. With 8 modules of DDR3-2133, stress is surely very high for the CPU memory controller, so a slight boost is commonly needed. With the proper voltages and settings in BIOS/EFI, the memory should be fast and stable in your computer. With 32GB of DDR3-2133, your computer should be capable of anything you put it to. Pros: This is relatively less expensive than corsair. This RAM really delivers on working without a hitch. I own a RIVE and at stock cpu settings I used the XMP profile and the RAM OC’ed automatically without a hitch. In fact, I was able to undervolt this from 1.65 to 1.58 running intelburn and prime95 successfully. I even overclocked my CPU to 4.3GHz and still undervolted at 1.64. I have a noctua NH-D14 and it fits over the RAM just enough.
Cons: according to gskills website there are only a few boards it is rated for.
Overall Review: worked first time out of the box and fits on a RIVE with even the biggest air coolers. Can be undervolted.
Pros: I used this memory in a recent new build and have had zero problems with this kit. considering its size and speed. It initially boots at 1600mhz with loose 11-11-11 timings but will accept 9-9-9 at 1600. but with the click of the mouse you can really turn it up to 2133mhz with no stability problems whatsoever.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a temp sensor. But so far they have only gotten warm to the touch. so I quess its not needed
Overall Review: I used these in a recent X79 build and have been pleased so far. So, if your building an X79 and want 32gb of fast memory. you cant go wrong with these.
Pros: very stable memory kit works great on a MSI X79A-GD65 8D

Pros: All 8 sticks in one box helps to eliminate any errors in terms of the manufacturing of any RAM stick, as they were all made together (I hope that makes sense to everyone, because that explanation is a pain).
Heatsinks work VERY well. Some of the best cooling for RAM I have ever seen.
Wicked fast, although I am not they particular guy who benchmarks his RAM
