The price was good.
It’s not hideous.
Cons: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 would not boot even with a single DIMM, so I had to install an older stick of DDR3. It was necessary for me to manually enter the timings (9-9-9-24) into the BIOS.
It’s a popular motherboard, so it would be nice if these two components worked together out of the box. This is probably not the fault of G. Skill. Regardless, you may want to have a backup DIMM if you plan to install this RAM into that particular motherboard.
Other than that, no problems.

+ I got this for $38, cheaper than the 8 gb (4×2) set w/ same clock speed… try to catch a promotion for an even greater deal! Newegg insider ftw 🙂
Cons: – Might not fit next to your CPU due to clearance (check your mobo)… I had to slide it over one RAM slot; no biggie
Overall Review: It says it is compatible with Intel Core series, but it works just fine with my Phenom x4 965 BE..

Cons: Had to RMA, PC would not boot with this memory installed. Alone or in dual channel didn’t matter.
Overall Review: Got this because I have one of these installed already from a few years ago. Wanted to double what I had and get dual channel as well. Unfortunately I received a bad dimm. The Newegg RMA process is a snap. All I’m out is a few dollars to ship it back.

Pros: Got one of these more than a year ago, and just bought another to upgrade to 16gb. This ram, an R7 240 and a quad core amd 3.0 ghz processor are running Fallout 4 on Medium settings at a solid 60 fps. You can’t beat the performance for the money. Once my 8 core gets here I’ll be set.
Cons: It won’t unload my dishwasher despite repeated verbal commands.
Overall Review: I was a little worried that even though it is the same model of ram that I bought more than a year ago, I would run into issues when sistering it with the older stick of ram, since this one is new. My concerns were unfounded, and everything just worked right off the rip.

Pros: When it was working, I had 16gb of raw power. Boot times were amazeballs. My world had meaning….but suddendly everything came to a halt.
Cons: hopefully i can return these for a fresh pair.
