Pros: DDR3 memory running at 1600MHz for RAM
the brand G.Skill has been very reliable for me so far
low voltage at 1.5V
Comes with heat spreader already on
Runs very cool (never had RAM run so hot though)
Easy, click and install, no need for configuration because Asus MoBo and Windows 7 recognizes it right away
Great for my HTPC build, just watching HD content and no intense video gaming at all
Cons: None so far for my HTPC build.
Overall Review: Solid performer for my HTPC. Forget the specs with 16000MhZ, and timing stuff…overall you just need to know if it works or not….
At the end of the day, just make sure your MoBo supports the 240-pin configuration and can accept 2 of these RAM sticks and if you need 4GB of RAM for your PC build (whether for school, HTPC, even higher end builds). These GSkill Ripjaws series just works…end of story.
On another note, I’ve had GSkill RAM on my 2nd PC I’ve build almost like 5 years ago when they only had 2GB (2x 1GB) MAX…and it’ still running till this day!
Pros: Got this for a non-gaming non-video editing basic webber build so 4GB is plenty it installed no problem and motherboard recognized properly and all was well with the world of computers
Cons: the price has gone up too much should be half what they asking now
Overall Review: biostar 880GZ mobo
Thermaltake 430W PSU
4GB Gskill RAM
Samsung DVD Burner
Rosewill FO4 Case
WD 500GB Blue HDD
Rosewill Card Reader
Haanns G 21.5″ Monitor
Win & Home Premium 64BIT
Pros: Fast, affordable, reliable, looks nice.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Just a drop in the bucket for the reviews on this product.
Pros: It has never given me an ounce of trouble. The speed is there and is overall a good deal.
I have used G.Skill RAM for a few years now and have never been let down.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Looks nice in a gaming rig.
Pros: Runs great
Overcocks well (2133 MHz@ 1.675v 9-11-10-28)
Fantastic warranty
Cons: One of the modules started to have problems a year later
Overall Review: Gskill has fantastic customer support, they not only helped me with overclocking my ram but also getting my year old defective ram RMA’d and replaced within a week with brand new ram that was identical except it had a black PCB which I prefer. Gskill is awesome
Pros: Great ram, awesome deal newegg
Cons: I had to wait for the rest of my bundle to arrive!
Overall Review: <3 Newegg <3
Pros: Excellent head distribution, attractive, solid and very fast.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Bought 4GB for a budget gaming machine anticipating to upgrade to 8GB down the line but after using these 2 memory sticks I really don’t see a need. So far no issues whatsoever. Very pleased.
