Pros: Just more great solid RAM sticks from G Skill.
Work as advertised.
Nice and low with room for air to flow over and between clearing the massive cooler sitting over them by 3mm.
Fast for dense RAM.
Cons: Hard to remove from package. 😛
Overall Review: Asus M487TD, Phenom 6pack 1150TBE.
Had to manual override (to lazy to flash a new Bios).
Pros: This memory was installed in a Dell Optiplex 7010 SFF that has a core i5 (3rd gen) processor. The ARES 4×4 increased the RAM benchmark (passmark) 800+ points. The system benchmark (passmark) was increased 500+ points.
Cons: Nothing to report after one day.
Overall Review: This ram makes a significant difference in the desktop response of an older computer.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: 25% failure, 1 out of 4, not too bad?
Overall Review: My dissatisfaction is two-fold: Rush ordered RAM, one of the sticks didn’t work, had to isolate which one, sent a request for RMA to Newegg and they said okay we’ll get back to you in 1-2 business days. 4 days later still no response, not good. So I looked up their automated return, got great service as long as no people are involved, I guess. So if you’re willing to try, have the time and patience to install and test and reinstall and test and pull all the RAM out and repackage it and send it off and wait many more days with your computer down for them to get it, verify it, send out new RAM….
Glad to hear you got the RAM at a low price. With 16GB of DDR3-1600, your computer will be fast and smooth under any memory intensive tasks. It is very strange a module is not working properly, but rest assured you are backed by a manufacturer lifetime warranty, so even if you are beyond NewEgg’s 30 day return and exchange policy, you can send the RAM to us for new replacements. The G.Skill RMA process is quick and hassle free, so you should experience minimal down time. Visit the G.Skill web site for complete RMA procedure. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Pros: Inexpensive, generally good brand
Cons: Even though the ‘specifics’ would dictate success, the BIOS would not have it. Latest BIOS update and all.
Overall Review: Buy this stuff because it is good and will most likely work in most systems. Just be aware that it did not work in this one system.
We will be glad to help with this issue. Unfortunately, the Dell Optiplex 980 is an older system that may not support the current single sided, high density memory modules. Also, first generation Intel CPUs could only support DDR3-1066 or DDR3-1333. To upgrade that particular system, you should consider the G.Skill F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT. In the future, if you have any questions or uncertainty about compatibility, please let us know and we will be glad to help. A quick email, call, or forum post can save some hassle.

Pros: purchased 10/5/2012 for $76.38, I have no idea why the price went up so high.
I haven’t any problems. all four sticks working just fine, Probably didn’t need 16gb worth but I like to have a little extra of everything. I’ve used these stick in a best buy computer, sold that and built my own comp and used these sticks on a Asrock Z77 Extreme 4.
Cons: Cons would be for future buyers having to pay $100 more than what I did
Pros: nice looking heat sink
Cons: Don’t trust G.Skill’s testing (memtest86+ verified 1 of the 4 modules was bad). I have two beefs:
1) G.Skill’s “hand-testing” evidently means a very quick read/write check and no stress testing.
2) Yes, the memory has a life-time warranty, but G.Skill wants all 4 modules RMA’d, which would leave you with a down machine for a number of weeks.
I should only be expected to RMA the bad module for G.Skill to verify my testing … if they don’t think a single module replacement will play nice with the other 3, then they should send a new 4 pack and have me send back the other 3 at that point.
It’s also worth relating that I have a friend who recently had a similar experience to mine with G.Skill memory (different kind of modules), so I don’t think I will be using G.Skill memory again.
Overall Review: Stress testing installed memory takes a good bit of time, so you would hope you could trust the manufacturer to be almost 100% trustworthy, but I have two cases in hand of failed G.Sink memory in my own little universe, which says this may be a characteristic of this company’s memory.
I am particularly put out because of the time lost to ferreting out the fact a memory module was bad . I installed this memory on a new build (ASUS mb) and all was fine initially, so I proceeded to put in Win 7/64. About 2 weeks in BSOD while in sleep mode. From that point, the problem sporadically recurred. Memory was the last thing I suspected – so I messed with the more likely suspects: BIOS settings, graphics and other drivers, and a virus attack. It takes a lot of time to rule out that kind of stuff. It’s obvious now that the bad module was causing the occasional BSOD. Believe me, the next time I build a system, I will take the time to do my own memory stress testing (memtest86+ is freeware – very easy to setup and use – just let it run overnight).
We are sorry to hear you had such issues. G.Skill has the highest quality control standards in the industry, so failure rate is very low. Even so, it is still possible to receive defective modules. Since memory kits have to pass through several hands before reaching you, the end-user, we can not control handling in those cases. For this reason, all G.Skill memory kits are backed by a lifetime warranty. At any time a module is not working properly, we can have it replaced immediately. Direct from manufacturer, you will see that the modules are guaranteed free from defect as they are new freshly tested kits. The G.Skill RMA process is the fastest, it is possible to receive new RAM in a couple days, NEVER several weeks. Send the memory in for RMA exchange and we will show you the true characteristics of our company. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Pros: Dropped into slots, works with no issue.
No timing adjustments needed on MSI board.
Very Stable
Cons: None
Overall Review: Ran Memtest on it for 8 hours with no faults.
Low heatsink allows for my Hyper 212 to work with no clearence issues.

Pros: Very low profile, maintains the heat sink, solid, not overly glossy but still nice to look at, well packaged, easily the best ram I have had in quite some time, no issues recognizing the first shot. Ohh and this is on an all AMD box, fx-4100/biostar ta990fxe/his 6850. Best of all it makes, well no, no the pancakes didn’t make it.
Cons: Not immediately seen for 1600, comes in 1333, but this was a driver issue on the mobo on boot I was expecting to have to handle, not an issue, just thought I’d mention it.
Overall Review: I have a Corsair A70 on my little four core, and it easily fits a decent mm or mm and half above the ram.
