Pros: Cheap in price, good quality, good instructions
Cons: Sections bent, door hinges welded, fans loud
Overall Review: Overall a good cabinet for the price. Fans are loud but typical of this brand. Sections were mildly bent but typical from other smaller cabinet reviews of this brand. Door hinge pins are welded to door frame so the logo is only upright if installed opening right, same issue other reviews of the smaller cabinets of this brand also. 22u size was way over kill but the space makes for expandability down the road a moot point. Sits 43in tall without the casters, 46in with. Casters were easy to install and roll easily. Door does not sit flush with the frame but have not re-adjusted the frame to compensate for this. Door installed on right opening was off by 1/2 inch but maybe 1/16 inch on left opening. I suggest installing the door before you tighten down the frame to maybe fix this issue since the instructions have you install and tighten the frame before you even think about installing the door. Took about 2-3 hours taking my sweet time setting it up. Rack nuts/bolts strip easily if over torqued, don’t use the plastic washers. Ordered a box of patchbox devmounts instead to replace the rack nut/bolts. Front door and side panels lock which is great but front door has no handle cutout to open it. Came with 3 shelves but man they fit super tight between the posts. If you get a PDU, make sure it’s longer than 6ft if your outlet is any distance from the cabinet location, luckily mine is right behind the cabinet of where I am putting it. Navepoint has some good horizontal cable management attachments but no vertical ones. Can’t even find any third party ones that even look like they fit. Cable openings in top/bottom are not rounded so find a solution to minimize cable fray/cutting. Very solid construction, I would buy again but since I over bought on rack slots this will last forever. Will be running the following : ubiquiti dream machine pro, ubiquiti 16x10gb managed switch, ubiquiti flex-hd, synology 1815+, and various ubiquiti ap’s, tripp lite pass thru cat 6a RJ-45 patch panel. Has wall mount option but being so tall I wouldn’t recommend it. Also comes with 1 set of slide rails in case you want to slide in a heavy 4-6u server but prob won’t fit being as this is only about 17in from front to rear posts using the tray and less if using the slide rails. How this helps anyone looking at this brand. I am overall very satisfied for the cost compared to sysracks 22u or 18u cabinets for about 1/2 the cost and they shipped fast after ordering thru Newegg. Took 2 days to ship via FedEx two boxes, 20lbs for the trays and 100lbs for the main unit.
edit :
Just wanted to add, removed the fans that came with the cabinet as they are way to loud. ordered some 33 dba fans cooltron 120mm x 38mm, they are sold under ac infinity under newegg sellers. also beware trying to remove the screws from the fan housing, they strip somewhat easy if too much torque is applied. 7 of the 8 screws came out very easy, last one the head stripped cause i think it was cross threaded when installed. was able to vise grip the threads and rotate the fan housing to loosen the screw and then use pliers to grab the head to unscrew. needless to say that screw is toast.
