Overall Review: This laptop is absolutely stunning, for me its like the ultimate performance laptop a dream come true. The screen is great a real pleasure to use, the touchpad is alright, the keyboard is about the same as my GE66 and a pleasure to type on. The RGB lighting, visuals and flexible adjustments are just awesome, as expected from MSI. This laptop has a full fledge RTX 3070 Ti not a MAX Q version, a pure beast that has jaw dropping performance, good thing that it has a powerful i7-12700H paired with it, much more powerful than the i7-10750H, is just great to have, to obtain that smoothness in the more demanding games at higher resolutions and settings. I did not have the chance to test all the games I have, because of all the updates required before, but it handles amazingly during gaming sessions in ultra settings. The build is good quality. The fans are silent in normal use, for gaming the noise can get loud, but its not a high pitch noise. Heat is extremely well handled by the cooling system, you can game as much as you please. If you dont mind having it as similar temps as a GS, set it in BALANCED MODE and noise will no longer be an issue. I cannot express in mere words, my satisfaction of this purchase! The power button is on the keyboard, the speakers are mediocre, but the most annoying hardware issue is the short power cord, annoying to be constantly reminded of this HUGE power bricks presence. The software from MSI, the MSI center, isnt an improvement at all, compared to previous generations, Windows 11 is THE bottleneck for performance, such a poorly optimized version from MS, hopes it will improve soon. Battery life: Expect a 2.5 to 3 hours of useful autonomy (screen @ 50%, 60hz wifi/websites/videos)(Windows 11 is very poorly optimized for battery performance, my GE66, GS65, P65, PS63 all suffered from a lost of battery autonomy of between 25-30%) Gameplay temperatures (room temperature 24oC)(On laptop stand): The Division 2 ULTRA 110-130 FPS ULTRA settings 1080P. Temperatures with Cooler boost CPU 75-80oC, GPU 65-70oC, (Again Windows 11 is very poorly optimized for games, my GE66, GS65, P65, PS63 all suffered from a loss of performance of 8-10% when compared to Windows 10) (LP1 65w LP2 75w) Yes I know the GE66 has DDR5 Ram, 99W Battery, 360hz Screen and TB4, but I dont need all that for its intended purpose, that is to replace my GE72 6QF on my 4K TV with a Bluetooth keyboard. I already have my GE66 10SFS for gaming with headphones.
