Overall Review: Right now this is just about the best machine you can get. It has all the latest tech, including 2 NVMe 4.0 slots (one with the stock 1TB SSD), Thunderbolt 4, and plenty of USB 3.2 Gen2 ports. I do a lot of video editing and transferring of large files between drives so it’s nice to have all these ports to connect to, and if you need more you can use a Thunderbolt 4 hub. It’s a beast, and it’s what I like to refer to as a portable desktop. You don’t want to take it out in the world and subject it to the dangers of bangs and scratches, but you can if you want to.

I really like the screen compared to any other machine I’ve had. It’s bright and crisp with 4K@120Hz resolution. I wish it was a touchscreen, but I’d rather have this machine than a lesser one with a touchscreen.

It blows through any game at ultra settings of course, and with these specs will be relevant for at least 3-4 years, in which case if you are an enthusiast you will start feeling the need to upgrade again.

As far as MSI support goes, I recently had a great experience and one good experience a long time ago getting issues warrantied with them. One of the reasons I decided to go with this machine is because of the experience I had when I called about a month ago for some issues with my Summit E15 laptop. I was easily able to reach a knowledgable human and they did their best to do their best for me. I didn’t feel like I was calling a call center with script readers but rather a small office full of knowledgable people familiar with the products and ready to help. I’ve heard a few horror stories but I find that in general if you are agressive in finding the right people to talk to you won’t have an issue.

Overall Review: I was able to get an undervolt of -0.115 which gave a 9% improvement over stock scores using cinebench 23; score was 18100. The processor runs at 80W so long as the GPU is not being used. When you run CPU-only benchmarks the processor thermal throttles no matter what. If you can squeeze a little heat reduction into it, the frequency will boost to take advantage, never really leaving any thermal headroom. You can adjust the power limits if needed though and that would reduce the temps.

I created a voltage/frequency curve in msi afterburner profile and was a bit surprised to find that the range was very limited before throttling. Not to say the performance was cut off but 0.7v to 0.756v was the range before power throttling kicked in. I was able to get a frequency of 1600mhz at 0.7V. I was very surprised and happy with that efficiency and stability. Running a Valley benchmark, I got a small boost in performance but a reduction in heat which is what I was going for. The GPU ram did not overclock very well. so I left it as is.

Running games with the undervolt and custom GPU curve I never got any thermal throttling.I do not play the latest AAA titles but COD Cold War with maxed graphics, ray tracing off, dlss on (quality) at 2k resolution I was getting 140-180fps.

Overall I am very pleased with this laptop.

Cons: – The screen turned on one time, the computer did its standard “first time being booted up” windows update, and then the screen never turned on again. So I can’t review anything else.

Overall Review: Screen arrived in a depreciated state. I was on the phone with MSI tech support for about 45 minutes trying to figure out how to get the screen back. The MSI tech guy was very helpful and patient and recommended I return the product to the retailer as the screen was obviously falty. I wound up spending a few extra dollars and getting a new Alienware. Hats off to MSI customer support but hats back on as their laptop was broken brand new.

Pros: CPU Temperatures are good! Better then i7-12700HS (Liquid Metal Pad works);
GPU is quite ok too;
Really pretty low, sure you have to properly undervolt and setup the fans and voila: not so noisy!;
MSI Afterburner recommended to use;
2 NVMe SSD port version 4 finally;
QHD display with DCI-P3 worth the extra money and good combo with 3070Ti (FHD bye forever).

Cons: Web-camera could me Microsoft Hello compatible as in GS77;
Thunderbolt4 port could be chargeable;
Strange combinations keys for Home and End – really not usable and annoying.
Finally – Price could be cheaper ;-))

Overall whole package is good.

Pros: – Blazingly Fast
– Great, and very customizable RGB, and when turned off, this laptop looks very appropriate for the workplace as well.

Cons: – Not really a fan of Windows 11, or how impossibly hard it is to remove certain microsoft software like office.
– The case is a little “flexy” with a bit of squeak when you rest your left hand on it next to the trackpad while typing.

Overall Review: So far, I am a very big fan of this laptop. the build quality is great, the keyboard is surprisingly better than I expected (I’m spoiled coming off my GT80 and GT83VR, with cherry switches).
I appreciate that it incorporates a lot of the latest technologies (gen 4 x4 nvme, ddr5 @ 4800, etc.) that other competitors tend to skimp on while trying to advertise as a similar value due to having a 3080TI. Also, as far as head cooling, msi still seems tops on laptops, as I have yet to encounter any kind of thermal throttling compared to others.

Overall Review: Just unpacked, and everything looks awesome! will update my review later, but for now everything works excellent. Packaging and delivery was outstanding!

Screen whiteout is an issue. They have a “fix” but it doesn’t work.
Very flimsy compared to previous generations.

Overall Review: If you buy this, go into the BIOS, turn on advanced settings, and turn off processor turbo mode. You won’t notice much of a performance decrease but it will save your CPU from heat damage. They did NOT put enough cooling in this thing at all. I was burning the hair off my fingers when touching around the sound bar until I did this.
