Pros: lots of space for PS3 games, works on all of them so far….
Cons: makes a clicking noise and spools up and down a lot, made me think the drive was dieing if not for a friend has the same drive, and same clicking. notice some lag not a deal breaker at all, wish it was faster.
Overall Review: wish it was faster.
Pros: I’ve been waiting for a standard size hard drive over 640GB for months now, and as soon as heard about this and saw it available I bought it. Installed in my laptop without a hitch, and definitely an improvement over my 500GB before. Absolutely no problems and as people have said it seems to be faster than the other hard drive. Also at 110 it is a great deal for anyone needing more storage in a portable package.
Cons: It didn’t come out earlier.
Pros: Fast, quiet, spacious, runs cool. Replaced a 7200.4 Seagate Momentus 500GB in my mid-2010 15″ Macbook Pro. Noticeably less vibration.
Cons: Doesn’t feel quite as ‘snappy’ as a 7200 rpm drive, but that might be my imagination.
Overall Review: For those of you that are downrating this product; older Macbooks and Macbook Pros with an nVidia chipset (the ones with the Core2 Duo processors, circa-2009, 2010 for the 13″ models) WILL have a problem with any drive that has a motion sensor. Period. Drive stuttering, system freezes, stalling, ‘beachballs’ etc.
I’ve seen this problem with Macs, Dells and a few other systems, and each of them had an nVidia chipset. So if you fall into one of those categories, pass this one by and get a drive WITHOUT a motion sensor built in.
Pros: I put this drive in my PS3 , it is the biggest drive that falls in the 9.5mm height . (Sept 25/2010)
Cons: None
Pros: Good value, good size
As silent and fast as original MacMini HD
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Put that into a MacMini and was concerned that it might not be as quiet as the original drive based on the other reviews. I’m pleasantly surprised. No problems either under OS-X or Win7
Pros: low price and works great on the ps3
Cons: none
Overall Review: for all of those buying this to upgrade there ps3 there is one thing that they do not tell u. when u install the ps3 softwear it must be the same version as the one on the old HD. ie if u have 5.56 u must update it before removing, or download and instal that version. it will not except a newer version than the old hd had. hope this helps
Pros: Works for what I wanted exactly. This drive fits in the internal slot of a Playstation 3 Slim. I had a 120GB hdd and that simply was not enough.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Newegg has SUPER FAST shipping @ either SUPER low prices or FREE! Everytime I use them I have a great experience.

Pros: They work in RAID and are steady in performance.
Cons: They are steady, but slow compared to 3.5″ 7200rpm drives. Even the random r/w speed is slower, which shouldn’t be the case for 2.5″ drives. They’re cruise along slowly.
Overall Review: I had four of these lying around from upgrading four laptops to SSD, so I decided to utilize them for a personal project and put them as the system partition in RAID10 configuration on Windows SBS 2008 running Exchange 2007, IIS website, and serves to backup the SSD which stores the Minecraft server.
