Pros: The Desktop come completely packaged and even sealed in a plastic wrap! Came with everything I needed to hook up the tower. The instructions were easy to follow for set up and the desktop has been working perfectly (power is steady and no blue screen issues). The performance is exactly is what I needed. I have room to expand for gaming and resolution in case I need it for additional marketing and programming work. The speakers on the tower are very quite even when turned up all the way, but every tower is like that until you hook-up speakers. As for the DVD/CD player it open and closes just fine, but to close you will need to press the open/close button on the tower ( I am used to pushing the tray to close). It plays CD’s with the download of an additional app in Windows, but you will need to wait for the prompt to open and play the CD. However, you will need to download an app to play a DVD. After several attempts of different free apps from the app store I was able to play my older (non Blueray) Simpsons DVD with no issues using the BlueRay DVD player app.
Cons: I wish it had a HDMI port, however, this is an easy fix with a HDMI to VGA cord ($45-$50), or an HDMI to VGA adapter purchase ($15-$35).
No other cons specifically about the tower it’s self, just Windows things I don’t appreciate. 🙂
Overall Review: I would recommend this product to others. It is a fast machine for the price and is perfect for home and small office use.
Once I use the DVD- RW feature I will post an update.
