Pros: – I like the 17″ Display size.
– I like the performance / price upgrade for me compared to what I had.
– I like the cpu/gpu/ 16GB memory.
– Keyboard is easy to use.
– I like the color.
Cons: – Don’t like that the end/home/pgup/pgdn keys are baked into the number pad keys. Normally I set NumLock to active and only use the keypad for numbers.
– When playing a serious game, the power adapter gets really hot. I set it on a metal tin box to help with the heat dissipation. Gets hot enough to make me worry about how long it will last. I bought a 180watt Power adapter with a 4.5mm connector adapter as this MSI laptop takes a 4.5mm connector as opposed to the 5mm connector the higher end MSI laptop use.
Overall Review: This was the first time since COVID where I actually saw a laptop at this performance level on sale at a good price. Bought it for my son but I set it up for him. I was pleased with the purchase. I installed a 1TB SSD into the optional slot and that went ok.
– I bought a USB hub in order to get everything I wanted hooked into the laptop.
