Pros: Trackpad and Keyboard feel decent.

Cons: The left hinge is already making a clicky sound and can see and feel the plastic moving up/down. I rarely even use the laptop as I have a main gaming desktop at home, this is just for secondary use so I’m surprised the hinges are already wearing out or coming loose.

Battery life pretty bad, I would never game on battery of course, I am talking about battery life when just using it for basic stuff like word documents, browsing the net, etc. It’s not even close to the battery life that is advertised, I usually average about 1.5-2 hours max from full charge and am not gaming.

The temperature when gaming gets well over 90c, even when on a cooling pad, I’ve had it hit 98c when playing battlefield 2042 on the lowest settings possible, was afraid of it overheating so I would just stop playing. Even on less graphic intensive games like Diablo II Resurrected I’ve had it go up to around 95c while still running over a cooling pad. Temps are way to high in my opinion don’t want it overheat so can’t have gaming sessions going very long.

Screen brightness is very low as well, certain games I have to max brightness and it’s still is too dark for me.

I don’t like that the USB ports are all located on the right side of the laptop, it would be nice to have at least one on the left side as most people like myself will use a USB mouse and it’s better to have the cable plugged into the left side instead.

Not a big fan of the red backlit keyboard. I know it’s a staple for MSI but would like to see more options in the future.

Overall Review: Even for the “budget” price it’s not worth it.

Pros: – Fast, powerful, low cost
– Runs most games I play on high to ultra settings
– Metallic case, lots of vents
– MSI software works well and is simple enough to use

Cons: – Only comes with a single stick of 8GB RAM. Opening up the case is a bit of a pain – watch a tutorial on Youtube so you don’t break anything.
– Only Red backlit keyboard
– Only 500GB of Storage included, only includes 1 additional upgrade slot (NVME).
– On default settings the fans can get super loud – you can customize them a bit or just limit the frames on your games to minimize it.

Overall Review: Great laptop if you’re getting it on sale. Does everything I need it to and then some. You’ll likely only ever open it up once or twice to do upgrades so I wouldn’t worry about the design all that much. I did get tired of the red keyboard after a while so having atleast an option for white would be a great feature in new models.

Boots up fast. Faster than my morning coffee.

Cons: Touch pad is in an awkward spot for my large hands.
Another USB port on the opposite side would be nice.

Overall Review: Would definitely recommend this laptop to someone else. Does everything I wanted, and more still. I can’t stop talking about how pretty it is.

Pros: Replaced the ram with 16gb and threw in another m.2 drive because the form factor it doesn’t have space for a 2.5″ drive.

The computer boots quick and once advanced options are enabled in bios you can tweak it to give some extra performance.

It’s fast and runs everything pretty great.
Playing elden ring on high and cities skylines with a large city is smooth. Cpu might be a yad underpowered but the gpu is solid and with some minor adjustments this laptop is a steal when on sale.

Cons: Lacking 2.5″ slot, default 8gb ram is underpowered. Gets pretty hot but it’s a thin model so it’s expected it results in thermal throttling so keep it clean and use a stand if you can.

Overall Review: Love it so far, would recommend to others.

Pros: – Runs pretty much everything on high at 1080p with over 60 frames.
– Included MSI software allows for custom fan adjustments along with basic CPU & GPU modes.
– Easily upgradable to 16 GB RAM.
– Comfortable backlit keyboard.

Cons: – It does become incredibly hot while gaming. CPU normally hits mid 90’s Celsius.

Overall Review: Overall a highly recommended laptop if you’re looking for a capable gaming machine. The laptop does get hot, mostly from the CPU but nothing that should cause any long term damage. This can be corrected by overvolting at a cost of slightly lower frame rates.

The included MSI software allows me to adjust the fan speeds. Resulting in a quiet work machine when completing some light office work.

I’ve purchased several laptops, Ultrabook’s and mobile workstations over the years. MSI still produces some of the best mobile gaming machines on the market today.
