Comments: My DVDs have nearly filled this HD with only 20.7GB left. So the 500GB may be the next step.
Comments: It took awhile for me to buy at $XXX. but I needed it to store more DVDs instead of burning them. The originals discs are backups. I just play DVDs from the PC on a 26" TV screen and 19" monitor simultaneously. My 120GB HD is now the main drive for my new Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 OS. My PC can dual boot into my old Windows 98SE or to the MCE 2005.
Comments: I bought this drive to use with my Media center. My wife takes lots of digital pictures at high res and I needed a place to store them along with my music collection. We also tape alot of shows and the disk space lets us keep them until we feel the need to either burn them to DVD or delete them. Drive is also very quiet. Thanks NewEgg for the quality service and products!
Comments: Drive works great and has a ton of space on it which is what i needed. SUcks a lotta juice from my PSU but thats to be expected. Great drive. and way to go Newegg for grreat service as well
Comments: I purchased this drive to handle my ever expanding MP3 collection. I use in with an AMS VENUS DS3 external enclusore. So far it has worked just fine. It was a nice upgrade from my previous 200GB Maxtor.

Pros: Reliable, Fast, Good price/capacity ratio
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: I bought one of these about 6 months ago and haven’t had any problems with it. Did the math and found that it was the best price per gigabyte at the time for a large drive. It’s running alongsize two smaller IDE drives and a striped SATA array. Been using it for media storage, but copying files to/from it is always fast.
Can’t remember how loud it is, so it must not be too bad.
I’ve never had a Hitachi drive before, but I’d definitely buy one again.
