Cons: First thing I want to get out of the way, the shipping carrier “Lasership” was absolutely atrocious handling this product, took 10 business days to receive for “Next Day” shipping, and no way to contact their customer support except through an email inquiry, where they’ll get back to you within 48hrs with a phone with a long queue time to contact, only to give you the update posted under the tracking# you can already see, and is likely manually being updated to avoid claims.
A lot of the G.Skill memory was listed as supported for the ASUS B550-F motherboard, was hoping these would work at their listed speed, but for the price and lost of 333Mhz, not sure it’s worth keeping for unforeseen stability issues.
Higher memory speed and looser timings maybe the drawback for this ram, as slower dimm with tighter timings perform better in benchmarks.
Overall Review: Purchase this for my gaming rig using an ASUS B550-F GAMING (WIFI) motherboard I got with a Newegg shuffle; able to get 4066Mhz 19-26-26-26-46 1.5v stable; Will not boot above anything else.
Was hoping for an increased over my 2933Mhz memory, but 3DMark showed lower FPS when benchmarking against prior results. Save your $$$ and go for tested and benchmarked ram with tighter timings. Higher does not always equal better
