Pros: Extremely fast memeory
Cons: Takes a bit to get it at 4000mhz on a ROG Strix z390-E Gaming as the XMP’s don’t seem to work or set the voltage a little too high for my tastes
Overall Review: Fantastic memory, worth every penny!
Pros: Looks cool, works (see cons)
Cons: Doesn’t run at 4000, was only stable at 3900…
Pros: Fast… pretty….
Cons: Doesn’t quite reach the 4000mhz with the low latency this kit purports… This may be due to the kit itself… or perhaps the CPU memory controller (9900k) Whatever the reason… this is till a fantastic kit! I bought two
Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Each 16GB kit should be able to operate at the rated specifications using a G.Skill QVL certified motherboard and capable CPU. By using two separate kits together, the rated specifications are no longer guaranteed. However, if you are able to reach DDR4-3800, you can try manually adjusting VCCSA Voltage and other values to force the system to be fully stable. In some cases minor tweaks can provide stability for the CPU memory controller. For further assistance or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly. The G.Skill Technical Forum is also available if you would like to share your system information.

Overall Review: It will not reach 4000, now with that said these are still really good ram. Managed to get mine working at 3800.
Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. We can surely help with any issue you may have. Each G.Skill memory kit is guaranteed to operate at the rated specifications so you have no worries when it comes to RAM. Not all CPUs are natively capable of DDR4-4000, so that is typically the variable. If using a motherboard listed on the G.Skill QVL for this memory model, it is certified and guaranteed capable of XMP Profile specifications. Since DDR4-3800 works fine, check to see what the internal memory controller Voltage is running at in BIOS. To attempt a higher DRAM Frequency, manually set to a higher value to see if the system can be stable. To avoid additional Voltage, you can tighten timings at DDR4-3800 for near same performance. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Pros: Cant run it fully at 4000 recommended xmp since it doesn’t work real well with vr quite yet but in other instances with games and work loads it works great with my 3900x and x570 Crosshair viii and I’m thinking on getting another two to have all 32gb running hard
Cons: Wireless vr has trouble with 4000MHz ram but clocked it down just low enough to not get blue screens so they are still working amazing
Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this for enthusiasts out there
Overall Review: I’ve had these for over a year now in my ASUS Maximus X Hero (Wifi AC) Motherboard with 8700K CPU, bought this RAM kit specifically because it’s one of, if not the fastest 16GB kit that’s approved to work with this board at advertised speed.
Would give errors in overnight MemTests at 4000 Mhz and crashed Windows 10 once or twice, once while idle (I know things run in the background, but memory load was low), so I dropped to 3800 as most reviews suggested and it’s much better. Upgrading from 3000Mhz Corsair Vengeance that started giving errors, I’ve noticed overall FPS improvements (anywhere from 5 to 20 average FPS depending on game), so the extra speed does help.
Since I see a G.Skill rep has responded to most reviews, hopefully he can guide me to which specific tweaks in the Asus BIOS can get me a stable 4000Mhz since this Motherboard is on the QVL.
We can surely help with any issue you have. First, check to see if you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard. Slots A2 B2 should be populated. If possible, test each module in A2 slot to see if XMP Profile can be stable. If DDR4-3800 is stable, check CPU VCCSA Voltage, then manually set it higher to see if you can stabilize DDR4-4000. For further assistance, please contact us directly and we will make sure the system is running at full speed.

Pros: First, the TridentZ RGB Series has some nice looks. Black is a great choice and it goes well with my system and most systems.
It’s Asus Aura Sync compatible which is great for getting the most out of my RGB components with minimal effort.
Second of course, the speed, it’s tremendous. A lot of people worry about higher speeds sacrificing latency but with a low latency kit such as this those worries are abated.
This really helps the 8700k stretch it’s legs.
Cons: Not Really? Check below
Overall Review: Not really a con but it’s only QVL for one motherboard the Asus ROG Maximus X Hero which means it won’t xmp out of the box and run at 4000mhz. It did run at 3800mhz with XMP however.
Although if you’re buying RAM This Niche I’m sure you’re fine and probably used to tinkering with stuff to get it to work.
On the Asus ROG Maximus X Apex I had to set
Maximus Tweak (under DRAM Timing Control in Extreme Tweaker in UEFI BIOS)
to Mode 2.
The Dram Voltage to 1.35
CPU VCCIO Voltage to 1.2
CPU System Agent Voltage to 1.225.
Another con but not really con depending on your personal feelings:
The box wasn’t sealed. The sticker was not attached to the top flap. Not sure if this was from the factory or from this product being previously returned. It works perfectly fine at it’s rated speed so it’s all good now but it definitely made me uneasy when opening this product.
It’s simple, it’s got the numbers if you got the cash
Pros: Extremely fast memeory
